mattingly
I've loved the series, but the finale blew me away. This is a fantastic show. I hope it gets picked up again for next year.
csyphrett
Re: Burn Notice The next season is supposed to start in June, Dave. I guess they are going to put it on a variant cycle than Monk and Psych who run short seasons in the summer and jan-feb. Maybe they will have a longer season for BN. I do wonder what they need a discredited spy for so bad that they kill his contact but but make arrangements to so he doesn't kill himself to foil them. Maur
Re: Burn Notice More stations are creating new content for summer. Rather than compete with the bigger networks for viewers during the main season (Sept-May) they can compete with reruns instead when viewers are normally looking for something else. SciFi has made this a habit of theirs (hence Stargate/Atlantis having mid-season breaks when the majors come back with their fall lineup). CES Well they set up from the beginning that Weston is a serious player (The Russian Special Forces believe it's one name for many men, no one person can cause so much trouble) and the possibility that he was discredited so he would be available for a different job offer. Killing his contact is just putting pressure on him to encourage him to play ball.
Nolgroth
Re: Burn Notice I think Michael Weston admirably fills the "action spy" role. I could have a field day sitting down to watch the Bourne trilogy and then the Burn Notice season on DVD. All jam packed full of technoplot and cool, minimalist martial arts maneuvers. I'll add my wish for a second (and possibly consecutive) season(s) of Burn Notice.
CorPse
Re: Burn Notice Have not have a chance to see this... but my ex-roomie loves it. I don't have cable so I'm going to see if I can add it to my Netflix queue.
