I think that's quite nice. Also, it would encourage a particular style of play if the players know that this is the template that they will be working from. Of course there's a little self-interest with this suggestion, but you might add something like... I have done the following to lighten the GM's workload. Obviously the blog would fit into this category, but so would getting character information in on time, etc. That way, you create a carrot when you want a player to get something in on a deadline.
