General Markov
Has anyone ever thought of doing a Tremors game out there? I think it would make a pretty cool game. I know Susano have a great writeup of the graboid, but does anyone have a writeup for the screamers or the ass-blasters? The screamers seems pretty basic, but how do you do the ass-blaster...well... ass-blast? A combination of leaping with gliding? And what about the fact that they explode when poke with a hot stick? I'd appreciate some help with that... feel free to add your favorite Burt Gummer quote in your response (if you don't know who Burt Gummer is, don't bother answering this one ) here's two of my favorite: ''Does anyone have a light? -Burt does. Burt: I do you know that? -Well...you're Burt. Burt, getting his good ol' zippo out of his pocket: You're damn right i am.'' ''Well if it looks like a ghost, and acts like a ghost... Burt: What we're dealing with here is obviously some diabolical water-absorbing agent that most likely had its genesis in our very own, long abandoned, government-supported secret biotech laboratory. For god sake be rational''

I'd appreciate some help with that... As mentioned, for those who want one you'll find a graboid here: http://surbrook.devermore.net/adaptationscreatures/movies/graboids.html It appears to be based on just the first film of the series.... As for the methane based attacks ? Hmmmm..... There was a character (who I can't find at the moment (sorry)) who had a version of Energy Blast described for use as a method of slowing a fall (eg: what Cyclops has done in the X-Men comic). I seem to recall it was built something like: X dice 6 EB: Only usable for thrust to counteract downward velocity (-1/2 (??)) So...If you do something similar, making the Ass-Blast an EB that is only usable for thrust and link it to Gliding.... As for the exploding when exposed to flame, I'd go with a Vulnerabilty disad.....Or buy EB explosion: one non-recoverable charge; Triggered by exposure to fire based PD attack. Or some such..... Just my "I have not seen the films for some time and I don't have my rules texts handy" $.02US. YMMV. -Carl-
Toadmaster
Re: Tremors Hero No rules help for you but I can't pass up a couple of Burt Gummer quotes. BNakagawa
Re: Tremors Hero I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that Ray Greer, one of the original hero games people, worked on the original Tremors movie.

Also, as anyone tried to write Burt the Man Gummer ? I'm working on one of my own, but i'd like to see what other people think of the coolest paranoid antisocial paramilitary around (not counting myself of course). Toadmaster
Re: Tremors Hero I think you mean Rec Room. As in recreation It was late on a really long day. Besides I think Burt Gummers recreation results in wrecks so it may have been a Fruedian slip.
General Markov
Re: Tremors Hero Here it is, my Burt Gummer writeup. Since my player will be built on a 100 points, I've decided to build him on 150. I'd like suggestions and comments in this.

FenrisUlf
Re: Tremors Hero OT, but as we're talking Tremors -- does anyone know if there's any truth behind the story that the reason the show got dropped from the Sci-Fi Channel was because it was "attracting the wrong demographic" (according to info on the Tv Tropes site)? I mean, just what exactly is the "wrong demographic"?
