Part of this disappointment is due to the fact that they have thus far been unable to destroy him. Auricious, you see, is good. Scandalous, I know. His parents, paragons of demonic virtue if there ever were, can't describe the hopes and dreams they had for their son. Auricious combined the keen eye and silver tongue of a corruptor by greed (his father) along with the unearthly beauty and seductive power of a corruptor by lust (his mother). Not only that, but he was a gifted natural magical talent, and had abilities unique to himself, sure signs of a Prince in waiting. Then Auricious started showing disconcerting signs of compassion and fair play. His parents tried to right his path, but soon this bored them and they ordered his death. Their daughter was already showing signs of being just what they wanted anyway. Auricious avoided the ambush they had planned and destroyed the rag-tag group of lesser demons they'd sent as back up and escaped to Earth Realm. His parents were fine with that. Once on Earthrealm, Auricious devoted himself to championing the meek and downtrodden, using his special gifts for the benefit of all. After setting himself up in style and enjoying the vices and delights Earthrealm had to offer. Since this has taken longer than he suspected, he's trying to tone it down while battling injustice and evil. Right now he's having a wonderful time. Personality/Motivation: Auricious is a bad demon. But he's a good being. While he's still a bit more selfish and hedonistic than the average human being; and he occasionally uses a "too direct" approach (turning leaves to gold and giving them to the homeless), he's got a good heart and he's learning. He needs a superteam to take him in and show him the ropes. If it were a here to fore all female team, he’d be ecstatic. Quote: This should help! Powers/Tactics: Auricious is versatile and powerful without being too much of a combat ace. He's durable and knows it, so he likes to make with the sword and fist. However, he's better at ranged combat. So if he is stymied early on he will fall back and snipe. If he is fighting with allies, he'll still try to draw fire. His magic is versatile and mid range, but he's not supremely quick with it. He needs a few seconds to plan it out. Campaign Use: Auricious is a helpful, if a little clueless, party boy with heroic inclinations. He's going to overcome his naiveté and he's got a good heart; he's a great source for demonology, politics of hell and other infernal places, and finances. If he’s too strong for your campaign, start by lowering or eliminating his VPP, then go after his demonic resistances, perhaps his renouncement of his birthright has weakened him physically. For a more mature, powerful version, increase his physical stats a bit (he’s still growing), his Magic Pool a bit, and perhaps give him more toys. His Multipower should also be improved to the campaign median or just below. Appearance: Pretty boy. When trying to blend in, he is a tall, lean handsome young man with "Pretty" features. He dresses impeccably, often choosing quirky or anachronistic styles. He speaks with an odd quasi-European accent. When he is being himself he is the same but with long pointed ears, elongated canine teeth, and beautiful alabaster demon wings. His favorite colors are gold and white, he sparkles. Enforcer84
Re: [Character]: Demon Hero Bishi! Anyone know Latin for "Golden Boy"? Heck I'll take any non-english version. Just to see what they're like. oh and the picture that inspired this last night...oops, they don't like hot linking. Oh well. look for this http://www.rpgamer.com/games/disgaea/disgaea3/art/disgaea3art113007-1.html it should be obvious which one I used
Hermit
Re: [Character]: Demon Hero Bishi! Weird. I like it though. In some settings full demons = Evil period, but even in these, I can see plot hooks for searching on WHY he's not evil. Did someone on the forces of good corrupt..err..uncorrupt the lad? Enforcer84
Re: [Character]: Demon Hero Bishi! I'm not sure, I saw the picture, opened HD and made the Midas Touch power. Then the image of this pretty boy demon (I believe in the game he's from he's a self styled hero in a world of if not evil, certainly surliness. He's the rival of the main character who decides to become a hero to tick off his father) turning useless things to gold and not realizing how much damage that could actually do to the economy or some such made me smile. Grabbed some hero writeups for Demons and went from there.

Shadowsoul
Re: [Character]: Demon Hero Bishi! Disgaea 3 is on the horizon? Excellent! It's a most amusing strategic RPG. There are some interesting characters, ideas and abilities in previous installments aswell. To many to go into here, although I will mention exploding penguins and the rather bizarre 'sexy beam', (it's actually quite innocent). There is a great plot idea in the first game, the forces of earth battle hordes of demons and try desperately to destroy the overlord of the Netherworld. And why do they have to do this? Because the earth is getting rather polluted and used up so they've invaded the Netherworld with the intention of conquering it and relocating humanity. BTW great character. Both heartwarming and immensely powerful. What more can one ask of a protagonist?
Enforcer84
Re: [Character]: Demon Hero Bishi! Yeah, the first two Disgaea games are favorites of mine. The third may be what makes me break down and buy a PS3.
