Re: Character name needed

I need a character name for a mentalist hero.

He's a detective in his normal job.

His Mental powers are visible by every via a green light.

Nothing decent has come to mind.

Well, for some reason the only name that comes to me right away is

Planchette

which is the word used to identify the pointer on a Ouija board. The

logic behind such a name ? Well, it's something that, thru mystic mental

means, points to the truth....Tho' there isn't anything linking it to much

else in the character concept so far as I can tell. Sorry....

Just a first blush attempt and my $.02US.

I have not a clue what you mean by this sentence... his mental powers are visible to everyone via a green light? "visible by every via a green" is the part I'm lost on. I'm having trouble visualizing, and I'm assuming its just a typo like we all make, but I can't figure it out for the life of me for some reason...

Assuming the interpretation I did attempt, here are some suggestions, some with explanations, assuming this is a fully super-powered game...

  1. Ghost Eye, the eerie green light makes me think of ghosts is all. Or a cornier version like C.S.Eye :D
  2. Hazelight, mental reference and light reference.
  3. Jake/John Emerald
  4. Headcase, in reference to mental and detective aspects
  5. Will'o'wisp
  6. Frank Thoughts :D for the dual meaning

Well, nothing great, but hope that helps...

Re: Character name needed

Limelight

Limelight is a type of stage lighting once used in theatres and music halls. Although it has long since been replaced by electric lighting, the term has nonetheless survived, as someone in the public eye is still said to be "in the limelight". An intense illumination is created when an oxyhydrogen flame is directed at a cylinder of calcium carbonate, which can be raised to white heat without melting. The light is produced by a combination of incandescence and candoluminescence[citation needed].

It can also have a double meaning with Lime Green...do I win?
