Maybe the eggbeater constitutes evidence of another crime? Would there be incriminating DNA on it? Or a hidden microchip with valuable information? Or.... McCoy
Re: Odd News - Plot Seed? What? You've never been sitting around the kitchen with an armed companion at four in the morning and been suddenly overcome with an irristable desire for a soufflé only to find not a wisk in the house? Only me then?
bschrempp
Re: Odd News - Plot Seed? In game terms... The heroes are in a battle and are mixing a potion they need to defeat a villain, they realize it is not mixing well and they need an egg better to mix it. One of the heroes has been poisoned. The heroes are trying to mix the antidote and need an egg beater to mix the antidote. Our heroes are fighting and the antenna on a weapon of communication device got damaged. The egg beater (whip) is the right size to make a new antenna out of. In real life, one answer, drugs, they guys must have been on drugs. tkdguy
Re: Odd News - Plot Seed? Don't you know that eggbeaters are the perfect accessory to tin foil hats? By using them as antennas you can turn the aliens' mind powers against them!

Lucius Alexander The palindromedary isn't an egg, but confesses that making sense of this story has it beat This story shows why Master Criminals, when giving orders to their goons underlings, should not use slang. Obviously the Master Criminal wanted a helicopter. Dr. Infamous wishes to point out that most goons underlings can't understand good English either. BobGreenwade
Re: Odd News - Plot Seed? Evidently these guys thought they were hard-boiled criminals. Unfortunately, their brains were scrambled. The case wasn't that hard to break. It's a good thing the cops came along to whisk them away to jail. On a more serious note (or at least a less facetious one), I keep visualizing a follow-up investigation by Flynn Carson, the Librarian. Judson: "Flynn, the origins of items of great power are not limited to the days of antiquity." Flynn: "Yeah, but... a kitchen utensil???" Now the PCs must race against some guy who may or may not look like Nicolas Cage trying to save it fro being enacted into law. Then the American people all become Canadians! Lucius
Re: Odd News - Plot Seed? It made News of the Weird In Plant City, FL, in December, Robert Thompson and Taurus Morris were charged with armed burglary after taking a woman's eggbeater from her at knifepoint. It was not reported why they wanted the eggbeater or why the victim had to be threatened at knifepoint to get it.
