Since I have my hot little hands on HD6 but not Hero6 (yet), I thought I would try this to see what would happen if I tried to model a fictional character in 6e fairly blind. Here is my first 6e attempt at Chiyo-chan from Azumanga Daioh, which will eventuually be sent to Surbrook's Stuff if I get it right.

chiyo-chan is awfully strong for a 10yo girl.

 

Also: I would recommend:

 

PS - student

PS - cooking

 

physical limitation - small

 

-7m running (remember, she's the second slowest runner in the school)

 

Scholar (she picks up things extremely quickly e.g. from computer n00b to l337 in one strip)

 

Her DEX should be 8 at the highest. (neither her nor Osaka can catch a ball worth a damn)

Hmm. The one I'd wonder about is Languages. Doesn't she know one for free as part of her Everyman package? Should that be one of those listed, or is it something else (I know, small minded of me, but seeing "English" there made me wonder)? Literacy is not Everyman in this campaign?

 

Anyway, all the numbers look good from what I can tell. Don't know what else to say about the 6Eness of it. Heh.

He just has to hit the check box for "Native" to get one of those languages for free.

 

To get Literate for free, he'd have to go into the Campaign Rules area and confirm that Literate is free.

You need a new Export Format, yours missing seveal key items (CVs).

 

There's one in the Vault that's plain text you can use to post a character to the Forums, I suggest enclosing it in the CODE tags.

Her free language is Japanese. I havcen't figured out how to put that on the sheet, which I am still revising.

I won't know anything about the 6eness of it all until I finally see 6e.

There is an option in the languages dialogue box for indicating the particular language being chosen is Native.

 

And the same in the Campaign rules for making Literacy a free everyman skill for languages.

I wanted to add Scholar to the writeup, but couldn't find it in HD6. Where is it? And do the perks like Scholar and Scientist still exist in 6e?

 

I'm also adding Animal handler (Canines) and Riding. Chiyo is the only character I've seen who is small enough to ride her dog down the street (and whose dog is patient enough to allow her to).

Thanks. I was tempted to take the dog as a Follower, but he doesn't follow her to school or anything like that. He generally only goes out when she walks him every day.

Chiyo is cute. Incredibly, alarmingly cute. So cute you can't stand it. This is different than being "pretty", which she will probably be when she grows up. But for now, as a child prodigy, she's just cute and adorable in addition to being incredibly smart and having access to such perks as a huge house, a pedigreed Great Pyrenees dog and a summer home she can take her friends to every summer.

 

Mentally, Chiyo is extraordinarily mature for her age. Physically? Not nearly so much.
