Ninja-Bear
i just looked out thepdf Mr. Long put out, and it mentioned that Hand attack was changed significantly. So I'm very curious to those who got 6th-what's the change?
Ternaugh
Re: What is the change of Hand Attack in 6e ? It isn't pre-chewed. You start at a standard cost for damage (modeled on STR), and then add a mandatory limitation to all of the other limitations. JoeG
GamePhil
Re: What is the change of Hand Attack in 6e ? The Power itself hasn't changed much, just in the value of the mandatory Limitation. However, the adding damage rules have been overhauled and will impact how HA works. That's a bit long to some up easily, though.
rjcurrie
Re: What is the change of Hand Attack in 6e ? Essentially, the Hand-to-Hand Attack Limitation is now -1/4 instead of -1/2.

ghost-angel
Re: What is the change of Hand Attack in 6e ? No it can be used withvanything that uses STR like all normal damage maneuvers.

Ternaugh
Re: What is the change of Hand Attack in 6e ? So you still can't use HA other than Strike? : ( Not quite following you here. If you mean, "Can I use HA with maneuvers other than Strike", the answer is yes. Since HA (or HTHA now) is used to model normal damage weapons like clubs, you've always been able to use other maneuvers with it. JoeG For example I always thought that weapons such as sai which gives you a +2 ocv to disasrm should be allowed to use its HA to increase its disarm str. As it is now, the disarm strength is the same (barring extra DC and such) whether you have a sai or are barehanded. (Yes I am going to allow a house rule to use the +2 ocv to convert to dc). Does that help ? BTW, I don't think every weapon would have somthinglike this.

If you don't think every weapon would have that, then why not simply build this weapon with some extra Str limited to Disarms (or even Martial Disarms)? Ninja-Bear
Re: What is the change of Hand Attack in 6e ? Well I was trying to keep it simple. But apparently I'm going to have to do it this way. Btw, I ve been thinking though that to do something like this though I'm going to give the disarm iaf lim to represent that only those with training can acccess it. Thoughts? To clarify, say sai +3 HA (everyone can use it). +10 str only to disarm; +2 Ocv only to disam (only people with the weapon fam or in super someone with the power, such as Seeker, or something else like weapon master--able to use any weapon effectively).
