Badger
Technically this could also go into Pulp, but since I kind of wanted to go more with the myth, it probably works here. Anyhow, I watched part of this documentary on Discovery CHannel that mentioned some human sacrificing in history. (I think the name was Blood of the Gods, anyhow, some ideas could be gleamed for Pulp or Fantasy campaigns but anyway) Anyhow, the Leopard Man got me interested in an idea. They believed they would gain power as I understand it by dressing up as a "leopard" and going out and killing someone, then eating certain parts of them (I think intestine was mentioned). So, I was thinking on a what if they did gained power (temporary/or permanent progressively get stronger with each proper "sacrifice"). And maybe have them hire out occasionally as mercenaries/bodyguards (this assuming their society was involved in such world and known of course, but I wouldnt go exactly historical so doesnt really matter how they are involved). So, how would I do this "spell"?
Odraude
Re: Leopard Men Perhaps you can build each power with one continuing charge that is very difficult to recover. The recovery would be human sacrifice and devouring the body parts.
Old Man
Re: Leopard Men Is there a Ritual limitation in FH or Valdorian Age? I can't remember. What kind of power are they supposed to get, anyway?

Steve Long
Re: Leopard Men I have a couple of books on this topic and have plans to write up Attack Of The Leopard-Men! as a Hero Plus Adventure at some point. You're right, it's definitely great Pulp fodder, though it works for Fantasy too.
