Wizard
I remember that last year there was lots of rumblings of Champions MMO coming to the Xbox 360. Lately I haven't heard much. Just wondering if anyone knows if and possibly when it might happen.
Tasha
Re: Coming to Xbox 360? Even though the game design was poisoned by thoughts of Console inclusion, there hasn't been much news on a console version. It may come down to Cryptic not wanting to use XBox live as the front door to CO. There were rumors to that effect during beta, and I haven't heard anything since. Also they really haven't done much with controller support for either Champs Online or Star Trek Online. The basic primitive controls are there, but IIRC there isn't much in the way of customization possible. So I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for CO to hit XBox. Also, I don't think that CO was the screaming success that would bring in the money to make porting the game to other platforms even possible. megaplayboy
Re: Coming to Xbox 360? I heard that Microsoft dithered about the subscription model so long that Cryptic revoked its launch date estimate.
1Rune
Re: Coming to Xbox 360? My sources say it is all on Micro$ofts' end. They jerked Cryptic around, essentially, either holding out for a bigger piece of the cash pie, or who knows why.
Rapier
Re: Coming to Xbox 360? Last I recall that problem was in the subscription model of having to pay for XBox Live AND CO. I believe Microsoft was pushing to have CO included within the XBox Live fee end-users were paying. I remember thinking that it was just another instance of Microsoft doing what Microsoft does best, browbeating everyone else around them with their 'our way or the highway' mentality. There is a reason that the Big Satan has his mailing address in Redmond.
