Eve knew that the powerful Warner family would blame Eve for what happened, and with Nighthawk's help her death was faked, and she became Jill Martin. Her daugher Anna was born, and she lived a quiet life for then next twenty years.

A battle between Ultraman II and a group of mercenaries shattered the peace Liberty City, where she has raised her daughter. Background: Anna Martin was taught to take care of herself at an early age. Although her mother claimed to have had her at twenty three, Jill looked far younger, and Anna suspected she had been a teen at the time. That caused Anna to become somewhat wary of relationships. Because of her martial arts training, and in a world of superheroes and crimefighter, Anna became interested in joining the crusade against crime. Well skilled with computers and electronics in her teens, she saved up her money and managed to purchase her equipment without her mother's knowledge. When Jill entered the fight in order to save Ultraman II, Anna decided it was necessary to let her mother in on her secret.

Soon after the fight Nemesis was joined on many of her patrols by the legendary crimefighter Nightingale.

Background: Dr. Ilsa Madchen was the head of the Nazi Supersoldier Program during World War Two. One of her experiments caused her to gain ice powers. She became a member of the Axis supervillain group known as The Fifth Column. On a sabotage mission in the U.S. she was captured and spent over half a century in custody. President Lee recently pardoned her and made her Adviser on Superhuman Affairs under the name Dr. Lisa Madison. His rational was the claim that she never experimented on an unwilling subject, and that she was an enemy of the United Superheroes of America.

Powers: Ice Maiden has the power to generate ice and cold. She is also an expert geneticist, and her lab work allows her to give superpowers to some of those with powers. Due to the variations of genetics, Ice Maiden can not determine the nature of the powers her subjects will receive. Unknown to her employers, all her subjects have major weaknesses, and she retains the ability to instantly strip her subjects of their powers. Because of the cryogenic nature of her powers, she appears to be a blonde, blue eyes woman in her mid-thirties.

While she was there she developed a crush on Matt Burke, Eve's cousin and a police officer. Marla studied criminology and joined the Angel City Police Department. After getting her powers, she battled crime as Miss Liberty. She eventually discovered that now police detective Matt Burke was the crimefighter known as the Condor. Both were recruited into the Angel City Police Department's Super Squad, a team of costumed crimefighters who delt with superhuman crime.

In the years while Eve Hastings Clark was thought to have been dead, Marla and Matt married. When Matt was made Chief of Police, Marla retired to avoid a conflict of interest. Miss Liberty, however, remains on the force and is willing and able to help out the Angel City Police Department when necessary.

Background: Bruce Tennant was a petty criminal who during an attempted robbery was shocked while attempting to override a security systems and fell into a vat of chemical. He managed to survive, but lost his good looks. Tennant did gain superhuman strength, and decided to take revenge on society by becoming the Brute. First he stole an ambulance from a mental hospital to use as a getaway vehicle, and then by brute force took over the Sewer Rat Gang. The Brute's crime spree consisted of he and his gang robbing and terrorizing his attractive and wealthy men and women. Miss Liberty and Condor tracked the Brute down, and while her patriotic heroine took care of most of the gang, The Brute cowardly struck Condor from behind, injuring him and taking his hostage. Using the crimefighter's radio, he ordered Miss Liberty to meet him at the docks alone, and that he would know is she radioed for help. Miss Liberty arrived to find The Brute using Condor as a shield, and threatened to kill him unless she dropped her bulletproof shield and magic torch. The Brute was going to torture Condor by killing Miss Liberty right in front of him. Miss Liberty said she could do anything to save Condor's life, and as she dropped he weapons she added including using the phone to call for help. Ultragirl appeared from out of the sky, and took the bullet meant for Miss Liberty. The Brute laughed and told the heroines that he had injected Condor with a slow acting poison, and that they had failed. Condor managed to let them know that The Brute was affraid of heights, and Ultragirl threw the villain up in the air and flew along side and got him to reveal where he had hidden the antidote.

Appeance: Bruce Tennant was once a mildly handsome man with a huge ego. The accident which gave him superhuman strength didn't actually do much damage to his face, but in his warped psychological view he made him ugly. He is a very well built man, ordinary looking, but his mean and angry face is truly frightening.

He used performance-enhancing drugs until they took too great a toll on his health. His recent resignation was clouded by suspicion both of drug use and illegally obtained evidence. He now fights crime full-time under his most reputable costumed persona, but has suffered setbacks to his operations due to his enemies hiring supers to eliminate him, including loss of arsenal, base, contacts, crime lab, deep cover, most of his gadgets, safe house, and souped-up car. He should retire from crime-fighting completely, but he won’t. He just needs backup.

Background: Brooke Taylor Stevens inherited her powers from her mother, an Olympian who lost her memory and fell in love with an American Millionaire. Her brother was the first superhero to be filmed, Ultraman, and a year after he began his career Brooke joined him as Ultrawoman. Brooke had strong reasons of her own to become a heroine.

When she was eighteen she was kidnapped and given a drug that erased her memory. Forced to act as a servant to a cruel master, trapped on an isolated island, she kept her sanity with the belief that this wasn't her true life. The man, who was dying, poisoned Brooke, and then killed himself. Brooke was saved by a lost aviator, Stephen Decatur Clark, who crashed landed on the island, and nursed her back to health. After repairing plane, Stephen took her back to the United States, and her true identity was revealed.

Despite the tramatic events of her life, or perhaps because of them, Ultrawoman has become a tireless nemesis to the forces of evil. She especially despises kidnappers, and this fact brought her to the attention of the FBI, which offered her a position. Brooke made quite the career for herself, eventually become FBI Director, a position she held until resigning to serve as President Stephen Clark's Chief of Staff. After President Clark retired Brooke ran for the Senate and won.

Recently her best friend, Eve Hastings Clark, also known as The Nightingale, returned after faking her death after twenty years. Brooke had managed to discover Eve's new identity, but never made contact for fear of exposing her friend to danger. Recently Ultrawoman and Nightingale have been seen patrolling either Angel City, Liberty City, or Capitol City.

Powers and Abilities: Ultrawoman has superhuman strength, speed, and resistance to damage. Her powers are based on her ability to utilize solar energy, and radioactive obisian meteorites drain that energy from her, causing pain and disrupting some of her abilities. She is also vulnerable to magic attacks. Brooke is a talented investigator and politician.
