Starcloud
Re: John Carter (of Mars) Trailer No, naked pretty much meant naked. As in, no clothes. Even in the 1920's. People forget that there was a very strong bawdy streak in the USA, before the Temperance movement took over politics for a while.
Clonus
Re: John Carter (of Mars) Trailer Keep in mind that "naked" may not have meant quite the same thing to Westerners in 1920 as it does now. Back then it meant "Not wearing any clothes". Although I think there was a little jewellery and some harness.
AmadanNaBriona
Re: John Carter (of Mars) Trailer Back then it meant "Not wearing any clothes". Although I think there was a little jewellery and some harness. that was pretty much how I took it when I was researching for my illustrations for our Barsoom campaign. Loincloths, drapings, pouches and other decorative or supportive gear always pretty much attached to the harness. Harness quality shows in materials, design and decoration. I'm pretty sure the many, many harness ideas I played around with were the under-foundations of what would later become my main product line

DusterBoy
Re: John Carter (of Mars) Trailer I dunno. . . I want it to be good, but those two just aren't saying "John Carter" and "Dejah Thoris" to me. I always had Ben Browder in mind for John and maybe Morena Bacarrin for Dejah. Mind you, Willem Dafoe as the voice of Tars Tarkas? Excellent. At least Dejah isn't the perpetual kidnap victim in this. That got old real fast. RexMundi
Re: John Carter (of Mars) Trailer I wanted Morena Baccarin for Cat Woman actually but I got ......*sigh* ...... My only real gripe for this so far, is the casting for Carter. Always felt that guy was to "girlie" Hollywood boy pretty, and Carter always came off to me as anything but Girlie...... Either way, I'm not horrified by the presentation. Lot riding on this flick so it may get the attention it deserves and it has fairly solid odds of being good. ~Rex
DusterBoy
Re: John Carter (of Mars) Trailer Morena Baccarin as Catwoman would have been awesome good. Instead we got. . . well, I'd rather not think about it.

Hope you have it lying around the house. That will almost certainly change right before, or immediately after, the movie comes out, regardless of its quality.
