Xavier Onassiss
Found here: http://io9.com/5855461/one-weird-theory-could-make-anti+gravity-and-faster+than+light-travel-possible In an alternate universe where this theory actually works, anti-gravity and FTL travel would not be difficult to explain, if you're the kind of GM who prefers not to simply "handwave" that sort of thing. Old Man
Re: Another anti-gravity / FTL concept for your SF campaigns I've done a lot of looking into Extended Heim Theory and it does seem to hold promise. The problem is that part of the reason it holds promise is that it's vague and incomplete. Tajmar is taking the lead on attempting to verify some of the predictions experimentally. Interestingly his results so far do not contradict EHT.
Ockham's Spoon
Re: Another anti-gravity / FTL concept for your SF campaigns Extra dimensions are one of my favorite RPG crutches for explaining how all sorts of things work. Knowing that there is potentially legitimate physics behind some of it makes it that much better. Thanks for the link.
Cancer
Re: Another anti-gravity / FTL concept for your SF campaigns Yeah, that's much further out in the theoretical boondocks than I operate. All things considered, FTL is always going to be a handwave, so pick one that sounds good to you.
