Darren Watts
Re: Golden Age Characters by Darren Would Golden Age Champions be a genre book' date=' a setting book tied to the Champions Universe, or a little of both?[/quote'] Absolutely both. Genre info, historical info, sample adventures and a pile of characters. dw
SSgt Baloo
Re: Golden Age Characters by Darren I vividly remember an episode of the classic Fleischer Brothers Superman animated short films during WW II' date=' in which Superman travels undercover to Japan to conduct some heavy-duty sabotage. The image of him dragging a battleship underwater by its anchor chain was particularly impressive.[/quote'] Anyone want to watch it? WARNING! Racial/cultural stereotyping of an ugly sort! Darren: If there's any way I can help*, I've been waiting at least seven years to get an up-to-date replacement for my 4th Ed copy of Golden Age Champions that got lost in a move. Even though I finally gave in and ordered a new (or gently-used) copy of the one I lost. I wish I could find a copy of the one Chris Cloutier had something to do with for 2nd-3rd (?) edition Champions. I used to use both as a reference in my own WW II campaigns. * Even if it's just "Go stand over there and don't touch anything!"

The Firebird GAC is my most well-loved sourcebook. It was a jewel and a perfect WWII resource, as I am sure the 6th Ed will be.
Susano
Re: Golden Age Characters by Darren The Firebird GAC is my most well-loved sourcebook. I'm not sure about 'most well-loved' but I really, really like the material in it. It was also a great book back in the day with all of the new ideas it presented. Zen Archer
Re: Golden Age Characters by Darren The Firebird GAC is my most well-loved sourcebook. I've got the '94 Iron Crown edition (4th ed?) which I enjoy immensely. One of the things I liked most is that it recognized that there's a lot of humor to be found in Golden Age superhero comics. The 1994 version has Madame Moonlight, who has one of the best superhero costumes ever designed for HERO or any other company.

I have a soft spot for the Doberman's get-up as well. And "Gertrude: Queen of the Jungle" is just genius.
