Dust Raven
Disclaimer: No this is not about Batman. Your hopes of a new tripple digit post thread are (with any luck) unfounded. What I'm wondering about is that vampire from LXG. She could take off in a puff of batts and they fly about attacking people on rooftop. My questiong is: What do you think those bats are in game mechanics?
Sociotard
A Swarm. Just treat them as one character, with some of the powers associated with bats (ecolocation, flight etc), damage reduction, and some of the other characteristics of Swarms. (I love having the bestiary! every one here can expect to hear me half quote it for the next week or so.)
JmOz
I agree it is a Multiform into a Swarm of Bats
Dust Raven
I seem to recall scenes with her ripping into agents and biting them when surrounded by the bats though. Other times there were just bats, but I'm pretty sure she actually latched onto one guy for a while. The swarm idea sounds cool though. I hadn't thought of that. pinecone
Thats how I'd do it and the intermediate form is a Vamp with a Damage sheild of bats or a No range Personal Immunity E-attack....
Farkling
Multiform (King Bat) King Bat has vampyre durability and flight and one other power. Either a constant Darkness (or Images) linked AE RKA, no range, centered on PC, OR Summon Loyal Annoyed Bat Swarm (2048 50 pt Bats) "Follow me, attack my foes" Do the math and see what you like. That Summon is 78 points or so. Both are expensive. The summon allows for some bats to "wander off" on their own private vendettas. It also allows for "Well Watson, as you can plainly see, these are South American Vampire Bats. Certainly not native to our fair shores. I deduce that they were conjured to this location by some mystical force beyond your comprehension."
