Sociotard
I was just flipping through the skill pages. And paused to look at "High Society". How do you guy's handle this? It looks like an amalgam of several other Knowlege and Proffesion skills. It mentions, for example, knowledge of who's who among the aristocracy, as well as their sundry relations with each other. Um, shouldn't that be "People knowledge: Members of the Aristocracy"? If High society can cover things like that, what other proffesion skills could it include? Winetasting? Familiarity with the High Arts? Ballroom Dance? Polo? Roulette? Carried to an extreme, Fencing and Pistol Dueling?

On the extreme side, you'd know the protocol for dueling, but you better have other skills to back it up.
Trebuchet
I've always treated it as being able to mingle with the high and mighty without making any major faux pas. Your character knows how to dress, which fork to use, and other such trivialities that allow him or her to blend in with such groups without sticking out like a sore thumb. He can carry on an appropriate conversation with a duchess or a president without embarrassing himself, and won't be constantly mistaken for a waiter. Of course other skills such as Conversation and Seduction can be good complimentary skills, as can Riding, KS: Fine Wines, KS: Politics. Two of the members of our team have High Society, and I make certain to throw appropriate social situations at them periodically. Our last adventure took place during the awarding of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in Stockholm, Sweden. Black tie mandatory.
pinecone
I'm with tre.....I use High society to be a "fit in" skill...it could be a year of charm school...it could be having nerves of steel so you always seem calm and comfortable and never spazz out...Oh! OH!...Paris Hilten! "Ummm roll High society to NOT say that out loud..." (fail badly and you also say you LOVE her video....)
