  1. It's autofire, so it happens all at once. If you want to save points, you can change the limitations to: OAF (-1) Immobile (-1) 1 Month delay (-5) Must make skill roll (-1/2) Real cost 25 points.
  2. Considering that the galaxy has to heal 5.5 trillion body, I think it's safe to say that in that period of time, the random mass of energy has coalesced into a new galaxy.
  3. 1 pip major transform galaxy to random mass of energy nonstandard autofire (+1.5) 5.5 trillion shots (+20) area effect (+1) 69 doublings (+17.25) (roughly 1 galaxy in radius) (did not use megascale because I didn't want too large of a drift from misses) 0 end (+1) does knockback double knockback (+1) +41.75 total in advantages. 214 active points. OAF (-1) Immobile (-1) 5 minutes to activate (-2) 43 real points. This attack transforms a galaxy into a random mass of energy. 5.5 trillion body should do the trick. Even if it doesn't, 11 trillion inches of knockback is pretty lethal.
  4. Hey, I once built a nuclear bomb on 5 real points, 4 if you decided to make it independent.
  5. Re: .50 Calibur Revolver I wouldn't give it double knockback. The machine gun version which is much more powerful doesn't have it. A +1 stun multiple would work though.
  6. Thanks Quark, I appreciate the quick action on this matter. However, I found an interesting benefit from this incident. It appears that when the heroic side tries to stop my plans, I am able to hold up the centerfold of Michael Jackson in a thong, and the heroes are stopped dead in their tracks. This distraction has given me time to make my getaway. However, I do hear ominous mutterings of 'revenge' from the likes of Patriot and Team Vanguard. Should I take any precautions? Kosmic Krusher
  7. I agree that pre-5th edition EC's were simply a cheap excuse to save points. However, this new rule greatly limits the effectiveness of EC's. A character who buys flight, EB, and force field straight may pay 120 pts if they are all 40 pt powers. The EC dude pays 80 pts for the same powers. However, a 20 pt EB drain on the first guy would still leave him with 4d6 EB, 20" flight, and 20 pd 20 ed FF. The same 20 pt EB drain on the second guy would leave him with no EB, no Flight, and a 5 pd 5 ed force field. This is devastating. Of course the real limiting factor is how common adjustment powers are in the campaign. It's up to the GM to make sure that there is enough downside to the EC to make it balanced with the normal guy. Also, the GM shouldn't allow EC dudes to buy lots of power defense to get around the limitation.
  8. I'd like to see gravity done right. Currently, the only way of doing it properly is a monumentally expensive change environment or an area effect transform.
  9. In 5th edition, there is a major limitation with EC's. If you drain, transfer, dispel, or suppress a single power in the EC, you affect the base cost as well. Thus all negative adjustment powers affect all powers simutaneously, and at double effect. Conversely, beneficial adjustment powers such as transfer and aid have to be done to the base and each power individually which means 1/2 effect.
  10. I must protest! As a subscriber, I eagerly picked up the swimsuit issue. However, imagine my shock and horror when I found out that Grond, Ogre, and Michael Jackson in thongs were the feature models! Now I know you're a villain and this is in your job description, but this is totally CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT!!! I demand an apology and refund. Grond and Ogre were bad enough, but the centerfold with Michael Jackson was too much. It made 75% of my goons barf and then quit. Do you know how much trouble it is to recruit quality goons??? This is despicable even by your fiendish standards. Unsatisfied Customer
  11. At first glance, it mostly looks fine. Cool character. However, I would get rid of the EC. Sticking an independent focus in a EC sounds bogus to me. It seems like a cheap excuse to save points. I'm not even sure how the 2 powers in the EC are related enough to qualify for the points savings. The golden rule of EC's are that if you drain 1 power, you drain them all simutaneously. It doesn't sound like the case here. The side effect seems kinda bogus to me as well. It's too useful to the user and shouldn't be worth any point savings. In fact, an argument can be made that you should pay points for that effect since it makes the independent focus so easy to track if lost. Finally, I wouldn't take independent on the foci. Independent means that the power will be lost eventually. I don't want to sound too critical. As I said, it sounds like a cool character but I'd require some tweaks before allowing her.
  12. What's wrong with a simple nnd killing attack that does body? The defense is to not be a mage or a magical creature. That's how I built Illyana Rasputin's Soulsword...
