Re: Some Quick Assistance
All should be built at SPD 2. I don't want to have to mess around with Phase charts so I'm keeping Players and Enemies alike at the same SPD.
Axeman:
16 points in CSL
8 points in skills
35 points in characteristics
16 points in Perks/Talents
Highest Characteristic: STR at 16
Knight:
9 points in CSL
10 points for 2-Weapon Fighting
12 points in skills
7 points in Perks/Talents
37 points in Characteristics
Highest Char: CON at 16
I could use a character with Tracking otherwise any human characters you wish to make are appreciated.

Re: One Wizard tower is another's shop
The Front Door: Shape Shift (Sight Groups), Reduce Endurance(0 END, +1/2), Trigger(One Predefined Trigger that Automatically Resets; +3/4), Difficult To Dispel(+1/4) Active Cost: 25 points; Set Effect(Change Location of Door; -1). Total Cost: 12 points.
Anyone who approaches the building that is not on the Wizard's Guest list finds that the door moves to another location on the tower. -
I'm working on magical spells for Easthaven Divine Magic. Divine Magic requires a Holy Symbol to cast or change spells in the Pool giving the Pool and all powers in it OAF(Holy Symbol; Difficult to Optain New Focus; -1 1/4). In one of my spells I'm making, the spell requires a second focus to cast the spell.
Is it possible to put two focuses on a spell when one comes from the VPP itself?

Re: The Network: Campaign Setting Idea
I'll begin setting up The Network after DragonCon.
-
I tried to make six pre-gen characters for DragonCon in time but it looks like I'm not quite going to make it. Can someone help me out by making two simple characters to help me get to six. I need two, characters built on 25 + 50 points.
I've built a Knight, a Berzerking Axeman, a Fire Mage, and a Divine Spellcaster. I could use two non-spell casting types.
It is GREATLY appreciated.

Re: The Network: Campaign Setting Idea
That is going to be a real though challenge to fight somone that can move in four dimensions. It isn't so much that they can move on all four dimensions but they have access to the fourth dimension.

Re: The Network: Campaign Setting Idea
Vector Weapons
Weapons built with Indirect and Invisible Power Effects that operate on the fourth dimension.

Re: The Network: Campaign Setting Idea
Thanks.
So far I've been thinking of a way to make the aliens different enough that it isn't some common, overused cliche. Probably because I'm currently reading Stranger in a Strange Land, I am toying with the notion of Aliens existing on four planes of existance and thus their weapons are forth dimensional. But how to depict that, physicly, I am not sure.

Re: Aldaric Gaming Presents: Easthaven
Very interesting site. Lots of stuf to read' date=' and, um, borrow, yeah, borrow, for my own campaign.[/quote']That's the point. Take stuff you want to use and add stuff you feel like adding.

Re: Aldaric Gaming Presents: Easthaven
Player Characters moved over to new format. I did some background improvements to History entries in preparation of improvements to that page. Spells automatically determine keywords now.
I also have someone who seems to be adding an NPC a day.

What is everyone opinions of putting a Follower as a DNPC?
In this particular case, I'm looking at a Squire for a Knight whose job is to stay out of the way and hand weapons to the Knight or hold the torch so the Knight can use both hands in combat.

Re: Thoughts on using 1d20 instead of 3d6?
Yes' date=' but only for attack rolls, as I said. People seemed to be under the impression that it applied for skills. I suppose I see where people could get confused though. Concerning fumbles, its certainly not "most", but it could be "some", even though I've never met someone who did that. How would you handle something like that? Most of the fumbles I can think of shoudn't really be happening 5% of the time.[/quote']It might have come from those who played 2nd Edition.

Re: Bye all
I had two issues with him -- his preference for ad hominem attacks against anyone that didnt agree with him for any reason, and a tendency to spew, particularly against Steve and crew. And I never did get what his problem with DOJ is; it just seemed like pure blind hate for the sake of being different to me.
Anyway, Im not sorry to see him go, Im just sorry to see him not tone down his belligerance a bit and mature into a more useful contributor.
I want to add to the list, posting a good bye message in the wrong forum for the sole reason of upping his post count.

Re: Thoughts on using 1d20 instead of 3d6?
A roll of a 20 is always a hit. A roll of a 1 is always a miss. It is in the Player's Hand Book. Because 20 is a critical hit, most people adapt the roll of a 1 to be a critical fumble. That is where it comes from.

Re: THE ULTIMATE METAMORPH -- What Do *You* Want To See?
They could have a holographic color that had two or three different designs to it.
As long as the cover doesn't have a wolf on it. That has gotten a bit cliche in my opinion.

Re: THE ULTIMATE METAMORPH -- What Do *You* Want To See?
Finally, a book that will hopefully explain the Ranma Curse Debate. If a Male character is in a female form and gets pregnant, what happens when they turn male again while pregneant?
I'd like to see some expanded rules on Personality Loss for how to do a more gradual loss of personality from remaining in the other form for too long.
I'd like to see some coverage of how to implement multiple forms as a curse upon a character.

Re: Essence of Desriability
Oruncrest has it.

Re: Aldaric Gaming Presents: Easthaven
And there's a HUGE spoiler in 2 of the character information threads, so if any of the players playing under me read those, I'm docking experience. Seriously. It's in the backgrounds for Mitt and Cerrangen.
And you asked me to read it?

Re: Thoughts on using 1d20 instead of 3d6?
And that's supposed to be a good thing? It's personal preference' date=' of course, but I like criticals of [i']any[/i] variety to be a rare thing, notable when they occur. After all, I'd hate to think that one out of every 20 times I use a knife to chop up an onion, I'm going to critically fail and lose a finger...
Oh come on, what isn't to miss about a system where 7% of the forces in a large scale fight fall on their own blade?

Re: Aldaric Gaming Presents: Easthaven
Major upgrade today. I did some background coding as well as transfered the Settlements section over. I added a new database reference to settlements so that you can distinguish settlements on the Western and Eastern side of the continent and added an "Other" section for places outside of the continent.

Re: The Network: Campaign Setting Idea
SS, it sounds fine, and is well presented...but (and don't take this personally) there's nothing really new here in this scenario to make me sit up and take interest. I'm sure you'll come up with a tonne of stuff if/when you actually run it, but this seems more like a teaser or setting seed than an actual setting so it's hard to judge it either way.Rob
P.S. Althought it does make me think fondly of an anime series from my childhood called "Thundersub" in English, about aliens conquering the land and the final battle on the sea.
Nothing new. Interesting. I'll have to reflect on that and see if I can come up with something. If you have any ideas yourself, I'd love to hear it.

Re: The Network: Campaign Setting Idea
Kinda has a John Ringo (author) feel to it. While that's not normally my preferred genre, there is something appealing about the whole thing. Kinda like 'Red Dawn' with aliens instead of Cubans and Russians. Yeah, I could see it...Definitely an interesting and workable idea.
Yeah, I was looking at my DVD shelf yesterday and saw Red Dawn and realized it was a very similar.

Re: The Network: Campaign Setting Idea
So did anyone besides Barton have anything to say on the Campaign Setting?

Don't be offended, but I stopped reading after the second comma. Must have fallen under the same portion of my brain that covers User Agreement Licenses for Software. I always try to read it but stop after the second comma.
