  1. Re: Likelihood of a Country Producing Costumed Heroes Based purely on numbers, I would guess that China would have the lion's share of superhumans. If the superhumans are not exterminated, I could see China organizing such a group as a nigh invincible army and pride of the nation. Kinda scary, no? Costume? Not likely, unless you consider dress uniforms and military regalia as costumes.
  2. Re: Perfect Pulp Painting I remember Crimson Skies! Great setting! Now I need to go see if I can find my Official Game Soundtrack...
  3. Re: Best, Worst and Strangest Police Cars I like the treaded SUV. I could see a vehicle like that in off-road chase scenes with snowmobiles. I could also imagine seeing the treads change to wheels in a super spy Dark Champions setting. Very cool find. I have trouble with that Dodge Viper. The humongous light bar can't be good for aerodynamics. What a drag! (Hehe, drag...yeah *sigh*) Wasn't there an old television series that featured a Dodge Viper used to fight crime? I think the show was actually called "Viper". I feel sorry for any officer who has to show up in a VW Beetle. They are going to have such a hard time in being taken seriously. That has my vote for "Worst Police Car".
  4. Re: Supervillains Who Know Their Limitations What about Aquaticant, lording over the entire community pool with an iron flipper?
  5. Re: Perfect Pulp Painting Very nice! This sparks all kinds of ideas and really gets the creative juices flowing!
  6. Re: Bluebird, Final Interesting character! Kind of a cross between Spiderman and Iceman, with potential for a serious mean streak. I like the character idea, but had a few questions that weren't answered in the write up. Who is the fellow student/rival? An interesting twist could be that this rival falls for the superpowered Bluebird, while hating Ms. Isley. Maybe the rival was rescued once by Bluebird? That might be an interesting juggling act! Shouldn't de Winter be a complication? She might put two and two together and figure out Bluebird's secret identity. Speaking of de Winter, why would Ms. Isley have agreed to be a guinea pig in the first place? Was she kidnapped? Why the name Bluebird? I understand the flight and the blue costume, but not how it correlates to the ice powers. When I hear that name, I think of Girl Scout cookies. (Mmm, Thin Mints!) While reading the description, I couldn't help but hear Batmanuel calling Captain Liberty a "Right-wing Ice Queen". Of course, that was right before passionately kissing her! Great job overall. I can't wait to see what your next character will be like!
  7. Re: Need Super powered Mysteries! You appear to be looking for plot seeds more than full mysteries. I suppose that you might have players that could find these postings, so you wouldn't want to have the entire mystery, complete with conclusion. Leaving it somewhat open-ended also allows others to use the same mystery in different campaigns with different results. I like the idea. Here are a couple I thought up: All you need is love: Local multi-millionaire, William Buck, was often thought of as a tight-fisted miser that would give Scrooge a run for his money. His shrewd business sense earned him and his business partners a lot of money. Two weeks ago, something changed. After visiting a party for the ridiculously wealthy, he started performing random acts of kindness. At first, his business parners thought he was doing these things as some sort of publicity stunt; something to make him look good before his next hostile takeover. More recently, he has begun handing large sums of money out to complete strangers, calling himself "Billy, the roving ATM with a heart of gold!" Now his business partners want this nonsense to stop, before "Billy" can do any more damage. What happened at the party and who else was there? Is this change in William Buck really such a bad thing? Will the "Buck" stop here? Does not compute: "The new GarbageMate will clean up this town!" Or, at least that is what Millenial Robots, Inc. (MRI) was saying at the unveiling of their new robotic street cleaner. A bipedal robot that would walk around town putting trash in a proper street corner receptacle. Now, the robot has been accused of a string of thefts and roberies! Richard Phillips, head of R&D at MRI would like to clear the company's good name, certain that GarbageMate is incapable of commiting crimes. "He wasn't programmed that way!", is the recurring statment provided by the young scientist. Is this just a case of crossed wires? Does the wayward mechanoid have a twisted sense of "cleaning house"? Where did GarbageMate dump the "trash"?
