It can hold one passenger in relative comfort and is capable of going almost anywhere in the galaxy. The ship has no visible drives, and can achieve incredible speeds in both the atmosphere and in space. The single door to the ship is in the front, and this door has a single viewing portal. These ships land by virtually dropping out of the sky and impacting into the ground like a meteor (thus, you might want to give the ship roughly 30 DEF and some restraint systems for the pilots). A launching area will have large flexible mats to catch incoming ships.
  4. Here is what I eventually came up with: 90 Invulnerability: Armor (30 PD/30 ED) 40 Invulnerability: Physical Damage Reduction, 3/4, Resistant; Stun Only (-1/2) 40 Invulnerability: Energy Damage Reduction, 3/4, Resistant; Stun Only (-1/2) 145 Wave Of Heat: EB 20d6, Area of Effect (5" Radius; +3/4), Damage Shield (+1/2), Continuous (+1), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2), Persistent (+1/2), Personal Immunity (+1/4); Linked (to use of armor; -1/4), EB Only Does As Many Damage Classes As An Incoming Attack Hitting The Armor (-1/2), Limited Conscious Control (-1) Any thoughts?
  5. Except a Trigger needs to be reset after every use. I was thinking EB, AOE Radius (5"), Reduced Endurnance (0 END), Continuous, Uncontrolled (or Damage Shield), with a limitation that it only does as many DCs as the incoming attack. And no, this is not meant to be a balanced power.
  6. I have a character who converts all kinetic energy into heat -- so if you hit him (or shoot him) you end up in the middle of a fireball coming from the character's body. My question is -- how do you model this sort of effect? Is Side Effects to Armor legal? I see the book says a Side Effect can hurt others, so I presume no. How about a Damage Shield? Can a Damage Shield be activated by a ranged attack? Or... Can I put it as 0 END, Persistant; Always On, and simply declare the damage done equals the damage the character takes? Oh, and what sort of limitation would that be?
  7. Right. Pay attention to the scenes. It is raining in one, dry in another, and they are doing slightly different things. And as he says "he listened."

He was quick to use his unique talents to great effect, killing large numbers of soldiers, even after the truce of March 1940. Eventually, his exploits drew the attention of Stalin, who declared Viljo was to be eliminated, regardless of the cost. Lured into a Soviet stockade near his hometown of Idel, Viljo was killed by a massive artillery barrage. Personality/Motivation: Although originally a quiet man, content to raise reindeer and remain away from the outside world, Viljo became an almost savage fighter after the Soviet invasion. desiring nothing less than the removal of all Soviet forces from his native land, Viljo continued to fight even after the cease-fire of 1940. Powers/Tactics: Able to ignore the worst of the cold, Viljo remained in the mountains of Idel, armed only with a knife, killing Soviet soldiers by the platoon. He was able to go about naked in temperatures of -60 degrees, could vanish into snowdrifts in an eye blink, dodge bullets, and track animals (and people) with the skill of a hungry wolf. Appearance: Viljo stands 6'2" and weighs 189 pounds. The only known photograph of Viljo shows a tall, scarecrow thin man, standing naked in the snow, armed with a huge knife. Designer's Notes: Viljo is one of the Talents from the W.W.II RPG Godlike. His stats and powers were adapted from his character sheet and reflect the idea that in Godlike one is a very normal human physically with some very unnormal super powers. As you have 35 more points to .play with in order to make Viljo a standard 350-point superhero, you might want to give him some sort of Tunneling power (so he can vanish into snow), as well as pump up his CON and SPD. (Vilijo created by created by Dennis Detwiller, character sheet created by Michael Surbrook)
  9. I havea a file I found on-line that describes a number of creatures from the Phillippines. Do you have an email address I can send it to so you can look it over and help me with the contents?
  10. Re: A Tikbalang Coooool. Do you have any information on its habits?
  11. If you sent them to me, no. My address is susano@guisarme.net.I'm looking for info on a whole host of creatures fromthe Phillippines, including the boroka, the bungisngis, the pugot/pogot, the buso, and the tikabalang -- and that's just for starters.
  12. The latter. I was using AOE Radius, but I think I'll switch it to "Any". Thank you. Next update should be this Sunday.

  15. Note my inital post. I state "a flying object..."
  16. For those of you who recall a previous thread of mine (named "Best thread ever" by someone), this is also for the Asian Bestiary I am working on. The object in question is a flying head that trails the human digestive system (stomach, intestine, and so on) behind it. The intestine will drip blood and assorted fluids, and if this stuff hits a person they will fall ill.
  17. Okay, here's how this one works... you have a flying object, and said flying object is constantly dripping various noxious fluids as it flys about. If these fluids drop on a person, that person will fall gravely ill. Now, the illness part is easy (Drain versus BODY & CON), but anyone have an suggestions on how to model the dripping part? Continious, Uncontrolled, AOE: Hex? Only if target is "below"? Thanks.

The engine has been heavily modified (starting with a Double Overhead Cam) so that it produces output in excess of 730 hp, and speeds in excess of 190 mph. The body is covered in 5 mm-thick battleship steel armor plate, and the windows are made of a combination of bulletproof glass and Lexgard plastic. Thus, it is armored sufficiently enough to withstand SMG fire (but not a 20 mm antitank gun or a 10 gauge solid slug). Throw a switch and the tires rotate 90 degrees, allowing the car to drive sideways (although not very fast and only in a straight line). If one needs to brake *real* fast, another switch will cause a series of long blades to snap out from the wheels, digging into the ground. It also is equipped with a sunroof, door gunports, and an external loudspeaker system.

(MoPow, NCI, Lim Geo, Watching) 11- 35 Total Disadvantage Points 67 Total Cost (337/5) Description: Bonaparte is Leona's mini police tank. In the "Dominion" anime it is constructed from the remains of Captain Brenten's all-steel patrol tank, while in the "Dominion" manga and "Crusher Police Dominion" Leona just has it. In "Dominion: Conflict 1", the Tank Police *all* use tanks like Bonaparte (and Leona's is called Napoleon). Bonaparte is a tiny little tank about the size of a station wagon. It has a blocky, rectangular lower body, and a large, spherical front turret. At the back of the tank is a secondary turret containing a vulcan machine gun. Between the two turrets is a set of manipulator arms, smoke launchers, air intakes, light bar, siren, and so on. The tank has four sets of tracks, two in the rear and two in the front. The lower half of the tank is gray, while the two turrets and upper body is white. Bonaparte is very fast, capable of keeping up with a speeding motorcycle. It is also well armored, withstanding a dead-on barrage of 30 mm cannon shells with no ill effects (well, to the tank, the crew's hearing is another matter...). The main gun looks to be about 75 mm (based on the size of the shell when Leona picks one up). It can fire the standard assortment of HE, HEAT, HEAP, and APFSDS rounds, as well as a "glue" shell and some sort of rubber "stun" round. Shirow also mentions firefighting rounds as well as radio tracking shells. The rear turret contains a multi barreled 12.7 mm minigun ("Dominion") or 22 mm rotary cannon ("Dominion: Conflict 1"). This is called the wide-angle gun in "Dominion: Conflict 1", and fires either "live" rounds or rubber "stun" rounds. Mounted on top of the main gun is a coaxial taser, capable of firing a powerful, short-ranged, electrical discharge. Aside from all its weapons, Bonaparte also packs some serious sensory hardware. It has an aerial video link that it can use to connect to any observation blimps in the area. Naturally, this feed requires a blimp be present, as well as clear weather. It also has an audio tracking system that can be used to trace someone by analyzing their movement echoes. There is also some sort of optical scanner system that can be used to look *through* certain objects (at one point it is used to look inside the trunk of a car). There are also two manipulator limb mounted behind the main turret. These limbs look to be limited to a maximum of 20 STR, and have a range of about one hex. The rest of Bonaparte's systems are pretty standard for both a tank and a police car. Note: GMs can go wild adding equipment to Bonaparte. At the very least it should have some sort of computer system (like in modern police cars) loaded with data on vehicle registrations, criminal records and so on. (Bonaparte created by Masamune Shirow, character sheet created by Michael Surbrook)
  20. Re: Bejita Yes, but when the guys in Japan spell in "Vegita" I tend to go with that. Also, "Bejita" misses the whole point of the guy's name -- which is a play off of "vegatable."
  21. Actually... I've pitched an idea to Steve about a NINJA HERO compantion. I would have more sample powers, write-ups for the various fictional martial arts styles from the original book (like John Wa the Monkey King's "Mad Monkey Kung Fu"), maps of places to fight, something like 40-50 NPCs (including Silk Whirlwind, the lady from Storn's mini-comics), and a setting -- Student Warrior University, an anime/video game-styled campaign set in a college for the martial arts. But this will have to wait until I'm done with the Asian bestiary book.
  22. Sorry, I don't, so I don't know if I will be able to get in touch with him or not...
  23. The Asian bestiary will have all sorts of stuff, both intellgent and non. The problem here, is that these are mostly gaming resources, which I want to avoid. 25. They are on the list of "things to write up." I recently found (on line) a big list of things from the Philippines, and am really trying to find some "offical" material on them...
