  1. Re: 43 Questions: A Character Developement Tool

Yeah. Like I said, it was originally given to me as a means of fleshing out characters for my Novel (which I have a working outline, I just need to sit down and WRITE :P). Also, depending on a character's origins or the campaign setting, not all of these are appropriate *shrug*

  2. Okay, just like the title says :P

I need a cheat-sheet with the dimensions of various vehicles for maps and battles. I found the Vehicle size chart in FRED to be somewhat helpful, but I was hoping someone, somewhere found the actual measurements for vehicles and then made them to scale. I can't be the first person to think of this (can I?)

Basically I'm looking for real-world measurements that I can scale to 2m:1inch...

If not, does anyone have an idea of where to find the measurements so I can create my own cheat sheet? I've tried googling it and came up with squat.

Eventually, I like to make a set of Cardboard tiles with some artwork on them for different types of cars/trucks/etc for my table-top gaming and maybe a PDF to distribute to HEROdom...

And let us not forget lawyers! No where else will you find a pack of proliferating parasitic professionals than Law-school. Well... there is Washington...

But have you known registered atheists who owned republicans or democrats?

Yeah but they paid out the yin-yang to keep em bribed.

    Nah. Too hard to housebreak.

Not to mention risking rabies, as both are constantly foaming at the mouth and fighting.

  5. Re: Searching for Maps

Okay, so I spent the past hour playing with Hex Mapper and MS Paint and this is what I came up with. I think I'm going to spend some time creating templates so I can quickly put together maps for my PBEM game (I'm sending my players this picture as a test-bed sort of thing).

What do you think? It's kind of a simple Laboratory with the front area being a sitting room, a couple of large offices and a lab in the back with large Vats to grow things.

  6. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine

Thanks! That will help a lot.

Why do I get the feeling your character portrait for my PBEM game will be coming from that website? LMAO

If you don't already have Hero Machine, I recomend it. It's free AND you can download a version of it.

  7. Does anyone know where I can find some decent Maps (Hex, Grid, blank - doesn't matter) maps that can be downloaded? I don't have the funds for fancy map-making programs (though I do have HexMapper) and need something to use with my PBEM game and my Face-to-Face game.

I've tried searching for Hero Clix maps, d20 Modern Maps, and just about every search parameter I can think of.

I just need a few basic maps, preferable in an image file-format that I can use MS Paint with (GIMP is a plain mystery to me). I'm looking for things such as Subways, Banks, Museums, Schools, Office-buildings, warehouses, etc.

Oh, and on the HexMapper program: does anyone have any interior/building Hexes(let-alone know what HexMapper is? It is a freeware program that generates tactical terrain but you can create your own tiles for it). I've a feeling I'm going to have to create some my own dang self... *sigh*

Made this just playing around. I think I'll call it a Green Sharak. Why? I dunno

Very cool now that I know how to make it work in Engrish. Found it a few months ago but didn't speak portugese so... *shrug*

  9. Re: Summoning [5e]

Player: "I want my HERO to SUMMON DEMONS!"

    GM: ...

Actually, following Aaron Asprin's Myth Adventures series, Demon is an abbreviation of "Dimen-sional Traveler" (Demon-sional Traveler, get it?). So if one defined Demons as any being from another Dimension, then yes, I would allow a hero to summon demons ;):P

    www.mythadventures.net

I've decided to change things up a bit. The villain is just going to be a plot device. He will be a Normal-level being with a mind-link that allows him to communicate with this minions. And the minions will no longer be summons. And they will take damage from Dispell of an appropriate amount. Thus is they get by 60 points of dispell, they'll take 12d6 points of damage. So they would have the following limitation:

Physical Limitation: Takes damage from Dispell/Effects that Disrupt Magic (Uncommon, Greatly)

What do you think? Cleaner way of handling things? Would it still be plausible that they turn into a puddle of goo when they are killed/knocked out? Should I build them as constructs?

  10. Re: Harry Dresden: Book one points vs Book 12 points

I've got a lot of players badgering me to do a Dresden setting game for them but the problem is' date=' Half the players are TV show orientated and the other Half are Book Orientated and never the two shall meet in the middle.[/quote'] I never saw the show, but I loved the books. Is there that big of a difference?

While he doesn't do a lot at first, he powers do grow in scale after a while. I mean, he's raised the dead (Sue), casts fire bolts like crazy, finds things, raised demons until he stopped, does stuff with pure force, as well as shield magic and some other tricks.

And as I said, the big kicker is creating a magic system that seems to simulate how it comes across in the books.

I can see him having lots of effects tied to foci, a small MP and a big VPP. Not to mention his BAR (Big-A-Revolver). Yeah, 500-600 points sounds about right.
