Nightwing's problem is that he's neither as handsome, nor as strong or agile as Seeker. Seeker's a better Martial Artist too. That's why Nightwing's so angst-ridden. He knows he's not in the same league as Seeker. :P

    Don't you mean Nighthawk?

  2. Nighthawk's okay :) I've changed the character a lot though ... made him more like "Batman meets The Shroud and Cloak" :) Here's an image of what he looks like in my game.

BTW ... does anyone know where I can see a pic of Nightwind? I never got WotD and would love to see him :)

  3. For fantasy games, I typically use the following:

LotR (both the animated and movie versions)

    Conan

    Starship Troopers

D&D Soundtrack (both the movie and the Midnight Syndicate stuff)

    Meditations on Middle Earth

Music Inspired by Tolkien (can't remember the actual title atm .. but that's the tag line)

    Legend (The Score)

    Princess Bride

    Pirates of the Carribean

Star Wars Series (especially Duel of the Fates)

    Gladiator

    Harry Potter Series

  4. Hunter,

What I would suggest is a character that can sense the sin level of their victims (Detect: Sin) and has max human physical stats. Maybe give him the "Evil thoughts" sense like the Shadow (Low Telepathy - only to sense "evil" thoughts) and maybe a few other mental powers (Penance stare? +30 PRE, only attack, Only Gaze?). I'd also give him some armor and maybe a weapon or martial art

Cool set! I would love to see some Champions Heroclix ... but where's Dr. D? And why's Foxbat a unique? Everyone deserves a little Foxbat from time to time ;)

  6. Hey there,

So I'm working on some stuff for a fantasy game and I was thinking of allowing mages access to VPPs ... but I'd like them to be able to keep a book of their spells OOC ... in other words, they have to have the spell listed in their own notebook (with a breakdown of what it does) if they intend on using it. Would you consider this a limitation for the VPP Control Cost? If so, what would you give it? I was thinking something along the lines of:

30 pt. Magic VPP (Must have spells listed in spellbook, -1/2) 45/40

    What does Herodom think?

The idea of dispel to permit and infiltration is also very nice. I do not permit teleportation in my setting, but a strike team in an electronic cloaked shuttle could indeed infiltrate the other ship.

    Nice, very nice.

    Thanks ;)

I hope to put stuff on anime magic, espers, mecha, and so on in there, along with about a dozen archetypical characters: catgirl, magical girl, mecha pilot, martial artist, magician, supernatural being, and so on.

Naturally, I'd be asking for input from this board on things to include.

Oh, and if it hasn't been mentioned, my website has a lot of anime-related material on it, written both by me and submitted by readers (hint! hint! :D )

I'd be all over that! And for the record, I pimped the site already ;)

  9. Wildcat, being a fellow 'Nauts fan ... I love the Force Commander pic, as well as the name :D I'd love to see a color version of him :) I used the good Baron as the premise for a Star Wars villain one time ... I'll have to see if I can snag the pic sometime and scan it :)

  10. I reuse many old characters throughout a plethora of games :) I also like "borrowing" V&V characters for various villains ... for example, the villain Super Nova, converted to 5e ...

  11. I actually have the preview characters and the first adventure ... seems that the d20 classes refer to childhood archetypes (Bully, Jock, etc), though the explaination as to why they're there I don't know. Looks neat ... the wife's getting it and she may run it ... all I have to do is convert it sometime ;)
