DC has kind of thrown the Crisis out the window with Hypertime ... which, IMHO, is a good thing, considering alternate Earths were always fun
I was also a fan of the SW ... but only the first. For that matter, I also liked Infinity Gauntlet ... just IG, none of the poop that followed. Personally, I'd like to see someone blow-up the Marvel Universe and reconstruct it from the bottom up. The Ultimate books don't do much for me ... too bad they didn't keep the Heroes Reborn universe around, I loved some of the stuff they were doing there But then ... that's a whole other rant
As for creators ... Byrne's art is great ... his storytelling is okay. As long as Claremont has nothing to do with it, we'd be all good

Why not just use a low point VPP to emulate the knowledge he's acquired? He's a brain surgeon ... okay, distribute the points to SC: Surgeon, SC: Brain Surgey and SC: Anesthesia ... if he's tracking down a lost Mayan artifact, just push the points into SC: Archeology, KS: History and KS: Mayan Treasures ...

Actually the Sphinx idea is a good one Maybe have a riddle given to each person ... when they walk up to the door, a sculpted piece that looks like a Sphinx's head asks the individual a riddle, they then tell the Sphinx the answer and are allowed in. You could explain it as a voice recognition program that also does a mystical scan of the person's body to see if they belong
Another idea is to have glyphs on the front that must be pressed in the right order or else the person is detained in an energy pyramid or a gravity trap that draws even the faster flyier into it's depths
Or, how about two guardian statues that wait outside the door. If the person doesn't enter the right code, they attempt to detain the target until the team can react. The Guardians could be techno-magical constructs that resemble some of the collosal statues on some of the Egyptian ruins

For Bolt, how about Thundercracker? Or maybe Volt? Or perhaps Juice (as in "Give it some juice!")? Hmm ... Negavolt, Megavolt, Megawatt, Kilowatt, Kilovolt, Arc ...
As for group members ...
Some kind of shifter ... shapeshifter, size alteration, etc. is very handy Perhaps the brick could be someone who shrinks and gains strength as he does?
A Gater, as in someone who opens gates, is also quite useful. Who needs a team jet when Portal is here?
For the martial artist, how about someone with animal abilities? Like a cat-warrior. Or how about someone like Jin from Tekken who has some dark chi abilities?
Gotta have an alien of somekind as well ... JLA have the Martian Manhunter ... the Avengers have the Vision (as well as a plethora of other aliens). Maybe that could be your mentalist or even a martial artist, specialized in an alien martial art?
Hope these ideas help

Hiya gang,
I was wondering ... with the online status of the Spacer's Toolkit and USPD ... will there be a fantasy one as well? I think it'd be quite cool

Honestly, I think that Hero could benefit from one of the major superhero licenses. Funny thing is, my wife and I were discussing this before I came online ... we were talking about how cool a Batman Sourcebook would be for Champions. Get Jim Lee to do the cover, then have a chapter breakdown based on the benchmarks. For example:
Chapter One - Batman Year One/Two/Robin Year One
Chapter Two - Knightfall
Chapter Three - No Man's Land
Chapter Four - Batman Today
Chapter Five - Allies of the Bat
Chapter Six - Enemies of the Bat
Chapter Seven - Batman's Gotham City
Include maps of Gotham City, stats for the heavy hitters of the Batman comics and diverse stats if someone wanted to start their campaign at a different point in time Follow up with Superman, Wonder Woman, JLA, JSA, Titans, DCU and Elseworlds books ...

I agree with Shelly ...
Silver Avengers, to me at least, are basically SHIELD Agents with some super-solider serum
Of course, in my game, Primus gained the Cyberline serum from The Avenger, a WWII hero who was the first recipient He later returned and kicked GA/Kaufman (an anti-mutant activist) out of the position, taking the name Golden Avenger ... (Of course, GA has a secret ID ... but that's because he serves as more than an agent, he's an icon and hero).

Oh no, 2003. I am a master of time and space after all.
Hmm ... if that's the case, then could you zip foward and grab me a copy of Fantasy Hero, Horror Hero and Danger International? Oh ... and my fiancee would like the lotto numbers for next week ... and we're hoping that the AB is in our mailbox

The problem with Master Screen is the price tag ... $25 for a blank GM screen?! That's kinda steep IMHO ... I'd find the Hero Resource Kit, get some nifty stuff and support our favorite game

Looks interesting ... but I would've built it a bit differently.
First thing I would've done is not give any stat bonuses ... It's more of an occupational class than anything.
Secondly, I agree with the Force MP ... it would be more cost efficient. I also would've required skill rolls with Sense, Alter & Control being the skills in question (Ego based skills).
I also would've made Force Sensitive a Talent akin to some of the Psionic talents in Star Hero ... or perhaps a Perk.
As far as Disads ... I would have only a few, with one of them being a Psych Lim - Jedi Code (Com, Tot) 20pts.
The hunted by Sith would depend on the Era and the Darkside Transform should either be a plot device or tweaked a bit IMO ...

I'm quite happy with FREd I'd prefer a game to age a bit before any new editions come out ... unlike some other games where the new editions seem to come out every year.

Or how about using the color pics for standees?

Hola,
I have a player who'd like to convert a character from 3e to Hero ... he was playing a Barbarian. I was wondering how people would create the Rage ability that all Barbarians have. Would it be considered an Enraged with some added stats only when Enraged?

I have a quick Q ...
The Asian Bestiary that's coming out, will it include info on Asian demons and such? I'm curious as I'm working on a "Jackie Chan Adventures"-esque game
-
Speaking of horror ... what's everyone's take on Horror/Fear Checks? Should it be an Ego Roll? Would it be modified by the creature's Presence?
-
What I'd like to see is genre notes on styles of Fantasy games ... Dark, High, Low, Urban, etc ... and some unique races as well Hero should have some iconic races IMO
