  1. Re: Blue Beetle's Disads? I still say the compulsive eating thing was a good character trait, as long as he controlled it. Fat Blue Beetle is no good, but BB moaning about how he wishes he could eat pizza is funny. Had it never been introduced at all, probably wouldn't be saying, gee I wish some superhero had a weight problem. But I feel it humanized him a lot and it certainly endeared him to me. I hate hate hate fat beetle, but I like the idea of a super hero who isn't naturally prone to a stunning physique. I never understood why putting on spandex gave a person six-pack abs and a killer ***. If that were remotely logical, spandex would be a lot more popular.
  2. Re: Blue Beetle's Disads? It was Birds of Prey issue where I thought they addressed it best. Chuck Dixon is the one who established that he'd gained control of his eating habits without completely invalidating Giffen's previous stories. THerefore, psych lim for five to ten and he has to make ego rolls (I'd say with a bonus) around his favorite foods which are Tex Mex and pizza I believe. I thought it added depth to a pretty stupid joke.
  3. Re: Comics you loved...but apparently no one else did Hellah Protectors The MAX Cage. I thought it was the best Cage yet. I loved the "thug life" Luke Cage and the Noir twists. It was mini, but no plans for more and it seems to be pretty much universely reviled. Alan Moore's Youngblood. The only decent Youngblood ever. Only like two issues came out. The heroic Green Goblin
  4. Re: Blue Beetle's Disads? No they didn't!
  5. Re: Blue Beetle's Disads? BB had heart trouble which could be worth some points. He was also a compulsive eater. I actually saw him make his ego roll when fighting in a mall food court. First to enter, then again when he passed the tex mex place. In love with Babs would be a good one, he would go to any length to help Oracle, even to the detriment of his company. I think you should have enough disads there.
  6. Re: Teen Mutants Unlimited Something that equals TMU? Turner Mitchell University?
  7. Re: New Character: Feedback and Help Buy the powers you want focused through objects of opportunity. Edit: If you want sample builds, I'll be back later.
  8. Re: Monster Hunter Campaign? Did you want editing? It seems fine to me, there's some grammar errors and a little re-arranging might improve the flow, but it's definitely quality enough for DH. Also need to trim some words, with your permission, I'll go over it and then I can e-mail it back to you, maybe I can help.
  9. Re: Spiderman Writeup I'm not sure if it was at the same time he gained the spider/insect empathy and organic webshooters (honestly, what's the difference?), but I have heard people mention his strength as increased to fifteen tons. Which, strangely enough, makes him quite a bit strong than Venom, the bigger, meaner Spider-Man. I wonder if they'll increase his strength as well.
  10. Re: Brain Fart. (CU) For a second, I thought you were saying the CU's superman homage was named Brain Fart. And that just didn't make a lot of sense to me.
  11. Re: Monster Hunter Campaign? I'm curious, is it too late to get a peek?
  12. Re: Ridiculous things in comics that you don't mind. Have you read All-Star Superman? It's amazing how Quitely manipulates Clark/Superman's posture to give him two very distinct looks. Clark is a pudgy, slouching slob with his messy hair and Superman is all barrel-chested, square jawed glory with his perfect spit curl. Makes me wonder if you slowed down his superspeed change, you'd see him hellah primpin' that ****!
  13. Re: Teen Titans (TV) I did clix last year. I want to try something else and I don't feel like buying, painting and basing the cast and villains like I did for the X-Men. And I had to make some of the X-Men and probably would have to make some of the Titans' villains. But mostly, I think these little 1.5" figures really capture the feel and spirit of the show, the clix recall the comic series (the regular one, not the one based on the show)
  14. Re: Ridiculous things in comics that you don't mind. I don't mind Spidey's horrid costume changes. Accepting the black costume, which is my favorite, and the future spidey jacket, which I thought was clever, his costume changes are ridiculous. Steel Spider anyone? And my new personal favorite worst costume: IRon Spidey http://www.newsarama.com/JoeFridays/JoeFridays33.html Scroll down about halfway.
  15. Re: Teen Titans (TV) Ah! You're the man, LL! I had completely forgotten about that. Muchos Repos for you.
