Re: The cranky thread
My supervisor is back from leave so I had a meeting with her so she could get back up to speed. I was doing her job while she was away (well attempting to).
I found out that the "knock your socks off moment" was when I returned a telco bill to Accounts Payable(AP)*.
Background. The telco bill gets paid and then I was supposed to send out "stuff" to recover some of the money that is not directly ours. I could've been shown it, but couldn't remember how to do it, nor could I find work instructions to do it.
What I did do was pay the telco but didn't follow up on the "recoveries". As said above the part that "knocked her socks off" was that I returned the bill to AP. She said if I had kept it near me it she wouldn't have minded so much.
What I find odd and kinda cranky about is that AP is jsut another team within the same organisation, I left it with them, as I (1) had finished with it, (2) didn't know which parts my superior wanted to photocopy for her records, so I returned it to AP and the AP officer and I agreed that my superior could have it back when she returned (like a short term loan).
That she freaked out is totally beyond me (see * below), is this normal?
*Felt like one of the movies where you get taken out of the movie due to disbelief.
EDIT/PS: I have my mid-probation meeting tomorrow, any spare luck you have please pass on.
