  1. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Ya!, Ms "Gimme" Moore stars with Bill Cosby
  2. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER If the Word Association Game was the longers thread ever than this thread has to beat #14476 posts. Can we do it?
  3. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER thanks. go back for the sequel
  4. Re: A Thread for Random Musings I've just finished reading the trde paperback "The Death of Captain Stacy" I want a scence similar to it in Spidey 2. It woul just be really really great with the Gwen undercurrent in the first one.
  5. Re: A Thread for Random Musings I thought it was the NGD Noticeboard.
  6. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Dr Zhivago is on tv. And the remake/telemovie is on Sunay night
  7. Re: [Magic System] Spellweaving KS, thanks for sharing, I'm eager to read all about it, but will have to wait until time permits.
  8. Okay, so this is not "random" To Kara and family:
  9. Re: A Thread for Random Musings A while ago on a thread we where telling each other our user ids and then telling our friends how much of our posts have been on the NGD etc. It appears with the upgraded board software, this ability has been lost. It's limiting searches to 500 entries.
  10. Re: A Thread for Random Musings as at 08-15-2003 Zornwil had 687 posts to his name. 8 months later 10,225. that Crazed Reptilian Conquorer is a motor-mouth. And the NGD today wouldn't be the same without it
  11. Re: A Thread for Random Musings I've just caught up with this thread. It could be likened to the NGD Noticeboard.
  12. I start my new job tomorrow -- does this make me "The Employee of Tomorrow"?
  13. I got an email about the cancellation of some of my uni classes. I though it would make an interesting disadvantage for HERO. Paraphrasing: work related injury...presence of strong pain fumes...permanent injury to sinuses...over sensitised to strong paint odours, especially in poorly ventilated areas. That should give a good gist of it. Someone may use it, WM may want to add it to his Disadvantages list.
  14. Occupational hazard I went to the bank today to check some details. Relly happy experience, the staff had to go through the labourious "hold music" routine.
  15. Why does hold music have to be "adverts" of products you are not interested in? I rang up checking about a spare part for my car and listened to 5 -10 minutes of adverts of the companies range of products? Ironic thing is that she said "are you still there?". If it was just a casual phone call I would've hung up. Pizza companies do it also. I know what I want, it is the same thing every week (almost) I don't wnat to know anything else, just what I want. Customer service? Hardly. Why do they torture their customers so?
  16. Whist "window shopping" today I saw three DVDs that had Fu Manchu in the title: - The Face of Fu Manchu - The Brides of Fu Manchu - The Vengence of Fu Manchu (Fu Manchu is played by Christoper Lee and they were released in the late 1960s) All the DVDs were pretty cheap but I was wondering: - How accurate are they to the original Fu Mnachu stories? - Are the movie complete bastardizations with only the name being related to the series (eg Halle Berry's upcoming Catwoman movie)? - Do the movies offer any insight into the character? - Are the movies any good? Thanks.
  17. A friend of mine today bought a book called Soul Mountain by Gao Xingjian. It won the Nobel prize for Literature in 2000. It looks really good. 3 web pages found with more information you might find interesting: Amazon listing Web page No. 1 Web page No. 2 Editing to make Rachel happy...as some of the post produced a scroll sideways scrollbar.
  18. Of course, there has to be some form of mystery that new players feel awed about.
  19. The 19th of Febraury -- The Bombing of Darwin Today I'd like to thank America for sending your sons (Armed Forces) over to Australia and help defend the North during WW2. It was on this day 62 years ago that the Japanese force that attacked Pearl Harbour attacked Darwin -- my home town -- an thus Australian soil faced war for the very first time. The day by all accounts was brutal and overall double the bombs that fell on Pearl Harbour was being dropped on Darwin. Over 200 people died (not all Americans), thus cementing a bond between the US and Australia that continues to this day. Lest we forget the fallen. :takes hat off and salutes:
  20. Some days it feels like life owes me. I take Visa and all major cards, but they have to be Gold or Platinum. Also deposits can be made in my Swiss bank account.
