  1. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign I like the new macro... For autofire, how about a runtime variable to hold the number of shots, the user inputs 1, 3, 5, or 10 (the selection could also be a drop down or a radio button). Then the macro loops a number of times equal to the number of shots. Each loop shpws the DCV hit, and the damage based on hit location using the new macro code from the J-88 example.
  2. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Heh... that would be cool, sort of the "jeffries tube" affect
  3. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign I loaded up an interior deck shot of the upper deck and a ship token to the GA Equipment thread. I will get the lower deck and cargo pod done tomorrow. I'll leave the ship writeup to you guys. Some notes: She has 5 hardpoints in 2 fixed external missile rails containing 2 missiles each (total 4 missiles), 2 fixed wing cannons (main heavy weapons), and one light laser HMG mounted in a roof topp turret. Note that the missiles are mounted externally and so she must be docked in a hangar spaceside or landed somewhere to reload the missiles. Also note that none of the weapons are retractable so it is obvious to even the casual observer that she is an armed scout/light cargo transport. she can mount two cargo pods in her belly mount. Usually the uper pod is configured as crew quarters, medbay, and passenger space if needed at most she can handle 16 bunked crew or passengers but can be configured for a crew as small as one. I plan on configuring the crew pod/deck to hold 8. Finally the Cargo pods can hold up to 100 tons of cargo maxiumu, so in our 8 crew configuration that would be our maximum capacity. If it had the one crew confguration you could squeeze in a maximum of 200 tons total between the 2 pods. Even her engines must be maintained from the outside of the hull... she has no engine room to speak of, only engine compartments with external access panels (picture a modern aircraft). Her wings are variable pitch allowing her to trim for atmospheric flight. as you can see she is intended for short range scouting and cargo transport. She really needs a homebase, for parts and maintenance support. She is sized to fit in the hangar of the star carrier model.
  4. Re: Gemini Ascendant - Technical Files Here are the deck plans and a token. If you load the deckplans as a map it is sized pretty close for player token use.
  5. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign I have not heard anything from Solron, so I don't think he will make it tonight.
  6. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Ok cool, I am making good progress on the GA tokens and will have them done except for the weapons by late tonight. I will be sending Nol some token art included in the GA campaign zip file. I grabbed the character pics from your site as you suggested and ran the head shots through Token tool. Also as per a discussion on the MT boards I would recommend that each player download a copy of the Base GA campaign file so that if you need to you can edit your game tokens between game session. To do this you neeed access to the campaign properties. You would load MT, then load the campaign file. Edit your token, then save both the token and the campaign file, over writing the old. it is important that you save both not jst the campaign file. Then at game time once you log in to Nols server, you delete your existing token from his map, and drag your saved newly edited token onto the map taking the place of your old token. Once everyone is good with this I won;t need to tweak tokens for players quite so often. This would need to be done most often when we expend XP, but should not be needed much otherwise. Of course you can always edit your token "live" while connected to Nols server, but I like to log on prepared to start if possible.
  7. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign I think I found the problem. I posted a detailed answer in the Other softwar thread. But in short I think you need to toggle on tooltips in your MT preferences.
  8. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign yeah that has to be either an OS, Java, or MT issue rather than a campaign file or macro issue as the tokens are just XML and some HTML... no Java involved. I did not use any of the new JSON code either. I would suspect either a Java or MT corruption
  9. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign The corrected file is posted. Also I added a tweak to the popup stat window. I added a Phases field to show which phases the character moves in.
  10. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Ok I figured it out... I am glad you took a look. somehow the Dex based skill roll code got whacked. I had the parenthesis messed up. So it was ignoring the die roll thus showing that you succeeded by 11 no matter what. Its fixed now and I will upload a corrected version shortly. As far as I can tell all of the other macros are firing ok.
  11. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Hmm something is whacked... On my end none of the macro code shows once it is fired on any of the macros. Are you by chance talking about the code that scrolls through the chat enrty box as it fires, but does not display in the chat window? If you are I don't know of a way to hide that. The actual code is marked hidden so that it doesn't display in the chat window/log window.
  12. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Cool, I will have it done completely by tomorrow. I have question for you and GA, when converting equipment, most specifically weapons, should I retain the d6's of damage, or the point value they are basd on? In other words... how do I convert TA's energy sword, the Mercury Phase Pistols, the Yazarian (Zharog) blaster rifles, the Terran Laser Pistols and rifles, My sonic stunner and Kruger Slug throwers.... and the list goes on (you once mentioned that we had a lot of weapons)
  13. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Ok... here is a link to the Generic 6E base maptools campaign file. http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1896853#post1896853 Some notes. To create a new PC or NPC ... open Maptools and load the campaign file. Click on Megaman and then select edit from menu bar and click on copy. move your mouse cursor a bit to a clear area of the map and press CTRL V to paste a copy of Megaman into the character vault. Double click the new Copy and give it a new name. On the properties tab enter your characters Stats. To change the character image, click on the little plus sign in the upper right corner of the character portait and browse to the image you want to use. Close the properties window to go back to the map. To add a skill, power attack, or whatever, click on the token to select it then find the most appropriate macro button in the pane on the right. Right click on the macro selected and then click on duplicate. Right click on the newly duplicated macro and select edit. In the edit box, change the name of your new macro, and edit small things like number of d6 or any reference to a specific skill to reflect the skill or power you are working with. Click OK to save your changes. Remember to right click and save your new token when done and to click file and save to save the campaign with any newly added tokens or maps. I have already updated the campaign properties to reflect 6E movement in meters. Let me know if you have any questions. I will post a seperate Gemini Specific campaign file with our character tokens pre-built either today or tomorrow. This post is just for a more generic file to use for building other campaigns. The GA file will be based on this one though if you want to play around and see how it works.
  14. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Yay!!! I got it licked! The new stat box pops on mouse over, is floating, dockable, resizable, and has all of the stats we have discussed. Life is good I need only to add the NPC stats from the 6E book, and the base 6E campaign file will be ready to send. I will finish this tonight. Then tomorrow I will customize it by adding our specific characters and then sending a campaign file named GeminiAscendant
  15. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Ok, I have a floating dockable HTML format statsheet working... Now I am trying to make it pop up on mousing over the token. The nice thing about this is that the window is dockable, resizable, and if the information is larger than the window... it scrolls I love it when a plan comes together!
  16. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Well crap.... If I want to break out different movement types, as in running, leaping, swimming, flight, and or display SLs or CSLs I need to go ahead and tackle the HTML formatted Character Sheet. Though we may have to muddle through for the first couple of weeks. I will have the stat added to the campaign file so that we won't have to mess with it. That way Nol can add his maps and NPCs or whatever, and I can work on the code and only upgraded the token without having to mess with the campaign file itself.
  17. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign I have adjusted the characteristic property display to include most of the common combat and play stats from the 6E character sheet. You may need to adjust the size of your chat window for all of the stats to display becaue unfortunately they don't scroll. I will work on an Html formatted stat sheet going forward. For right now I am just going to finish the combat and game related macros we need to get started. Other than an explosion I don;t think I am going to automate much more than what I have now.
  18. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Duh!!! Why didn't I think of that... Ok, done I have the images. When I send the GA campaign file it will be complete with tokens, macros, and images. Thanks GA... P.S. Thanks to the Artzone link on Cellular Smoke, I now know what GA really looks like.
  19. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Wait... you TRUSTED a spell checker!!! This explains much... (Lyke aye haf ruum to tawk) Seriously though, I have all of the macros completed and the campaign properties tweaked to display on mouse over. I will finish the genreic NPC tokens this morning, and send/post the basic 6E campaign file. Then this afternoon and tomorrow, I will make campaign specific tokens, minus character art, for the Gemini crew and send that to you, propbably Saturday morning. Then time permitting I would like to try and get online for a brief demo of the new macros and how to best/most quickly create NPC tokens and edit the player tokens. This is mostly for those that are not comfortable with the idea of macro code. My whole intent here has been to make it easy for all of our players to get the same functionality out of MT without having to do any coding.
  20. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Just an FYI, These macros are almost entirely my own work, I was having to much of a hard time deciphering Brad's code. So I scrapped it and started from scratch. My approach is much simpler code wise, but not as much automation. The only thing left from Brad's code is the Initiative tracker and the generic die roller. everything else is newly coded for 6E.
  21. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Would an overall PD, ED, rPD, and rED be ok? An d how many CSL slots should I setup, I currently don't have them set as a campaign property, only the characteristics.
  22. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign Wait... do defences have to have degates? Or did you mean defenses?
  23. Re: Gemini Ascendant Campaign OK so PD/ED and CVs?
