Unfortunately, the US does have more than muslim-faith based groups to deal with.

 

We have right-wing militias who blow up hundreds of people in Federal buildings and rob banks and murder FBI agents in their path (Oklahoma and the FBI Miami Massacre).

 

We have racist groups that firebomb African American congregations.

 

We have pro-life groups that bomb abortion clinics and gun down doctors.

 

We have narcoterrorism from both north and south of the US Borders.

 

Al Quaeda is a significant enemy, but we have enough home grown psychos of our own, no thank you.

Luckily though, seeing how they are homegrown, they tend to be dumber than those overseas. I do admit we have other problems, but they are the minority in numbers, the minority in danger. I do think it is important to give credit to the fact that those insane militia types caused the second worst terrorist attack in our history.

Then again, Death Tribble lives in the UK, so they threats of terrorism he deals with, is slightly different from those that the US deals with. Also Al-Qaeda doesn't have "some muslim members" it is comprised of muslims almost entirely. You would be hard-pressed to find one that wasn't muslim. That I believe was my point.

I would not be saying all of the terrorists were Catholic, nor would I be saying that all Catholics were terrorists. It would be like saying because I said all squares are rectangles, then I was saying all rectangles are square.

It reminds me of the Otherland series by Tad Williams. It was a little more than simply being stuck in an MMORPG, but I think it gives a good idea on the sort of things you could do in such a situation.

Technically that would make Mightybec second cousin (in-law) to Britney Spears. I know a few of my second cousins quite well. We celebrate holidays together and everything. My suggestion, Mightybec starts the idea of a family reunion. When she arrives, kill her. It is the best possible situation for the world.

Speaking of "colored people", last night one of my friends was in a weird mood and turned to me and whispered, "Psss... I'm colored." This was after the remark earlier of "You are going to have to speak up because I'm black." Of course this has nothing to do with anything at all. Maybe you should have the character refer to all white people as honkies....

I've always liked the concept that you can time travel all you want, but that has already been involved. You go back in time, but in the past you were there because you went back in time. This would say that free will and chaos are simply illusions though, seeing how if you go back in time, your future actions have been predetermined by the past. Infinite Muliverse is also a nice concept, but those are the only two concepts I consider feasible.
