    I accidentally put my wallet in the freezer last night. It turned out to be a good thing, though. I really needed some cold, hard cash.

    The Exorcism of God, horror. I appreciate that they were trying to do something different with the story, but the effort to be edgy resulted in a few eye-rolling moments. It was slow and the numerous jump scares weren't enough to keep me interested. I kept falling asleep. Cinematography was nice, make-up was really good in some spots, 2/4.

    I'm looking forward to both Barbie (any movie that pisses off the right this much has to be good) and Oppenheimer, but I won't sit in a theater for them. Maybe I'm just too old for that now.

    It's ready: Overall, I'd say a success, but I made some substitutions for mom's diet and it's not as sweet as I expected. Fun process and I will try again with some tweaks in the future.

    Math is about to get easier! From the LA Times, may be behind a paywall. California approves math overhaul to help struggling students. But will it hurt whiz kids? I understand the impulse, their hearts are in the right place, but... I don't know. I wasn't a math teacher though I did consider it. The classroom realities may make this very desirable.
