Re: Seeker vs. Nighthawk- THE REMATCH! I like that background a lot i have to say. In my campaign Team Defender (led by the fearless Glen Harmon) joined the Champions after the death of Defender (I'm still keeping it murky as to how he died- use that later.) and has joined a team of Champions where Ironclad and Sapphire are the 'voices of experience' (believe it or not) for the younger heroes. Nighthawk and Witchcraft have left the group entirely to deal with various issues. Although they still keep an eye out to act as reserve members if nessessary. Now Sapphire has to ride herd on a group of young turk Supers which she has no idea how to do. Makes her much more interesting! (P.S- I've read Sapphire's background through and in no way does she resemble Britney or Christina. I always thought of her as Shakira or Beyonce- y'know someone who appeals to people other that 16yr old boys and pre-teen girls.)

Re: Seeker vs. Nighthawk- THE REMATCH! Sorry, don't have WOTD any more- wish i did. And for the record i liked some of the New Millenium Champions. Quantum was a kick-ass leader, we had Team Defender which one of my PC's is currently using the idea for and a shape-changing magical brick-Behemoth! New Seeker was...interesting but i never really liked the character that much to begin with so maybe he offended others more. I didn't like the re-done Solitaire though- all in all i think they made the right choice in 5th edition to drop some of the ideas and come up with new ones.

Just going over some of the old posts and found that this thread popped up a lot- so in light of Nighthawks updated stats in Champions NOTW could he give Seeker (WOTD version) any trouble now? Also on a seperate point does anyone actually like the Champions: New Millenium Champions as much or more than either 4th or 5th version Champs. There you go- two threads in one!

Re: starter villains If you have VVV for your campaign then either the Brain Trust ot The Crimelords are ideal for what you describe, depending on if you want a mastermind plot or something more simple. GJ

GJ Here, Of course i technically know that Copyright just doesn't go away, but i also don't see why some things such as Millennium's End is seemingly OK to publish and this out of print supplement isn't. I am dead set against most kinds of online piracy, especially RPG wise, i once saw a Gadgets And Gear free download on a website- that's just plain wrong. All i saw was a bunch of guys chewing over a great supplement they all USED TO have and could no longer get. That sucks too. All I'm saying is that i am kind of tired of RPG companies not republishing old supplements in pdf form when theres clearly a market for it. It's almost certainly more complicated than that, i know. But i do find it frustrating. Invaders From Below, Mystic Masters, Watchers Of The Dragon- all these things seem to be forever beyond the grasp of some of us. It just sucks. Anyway, sorry for my earlier (mild) sarcasm, it was in no way meant to be offensive and i apologize. Wings of the Valkyrie is a pretty cool supplement, though. They should definetly re- release it.

Re: Wings of the Valkyrie... one more time. Hi My understanding is that this book is out of print, not been sold by any company and that there are no future plans to re -release it any time soon. The only place copies are being sold is on Ebay. On the Dark Champs board i downloaded some out of print Espionage stuff for free, pretty much. Maybe i'm a bit slow but i don't get the distinction- a hard to obtain product that everyone wants and here i am with a free copy. In fact, forget about it...it sounds like an awful idea. GJ:king:

Re: Lame Superhero Rollcall Without a doubt Fantomex- Waters his head, wears stupid white rubber suit and his mutant 'gift'- a ship flew out of his mouth. (At least he claimed it was his mouth- could've been another orifice...). Also under the delusion that women are actually attracted to him after mere minutes of conversation (it's the tilt of there hips, you see...). And mysteriously Prof X is unable to read his mind (possibly because it's absent). Proof positive that Grant Morrison can occasionally come up with a truly stupid, lamea** character. Fantomex is unforgivable because he thinks he's so amazing, but really isn't.

As for of Red Sonja i was really looking for the Sword and Sorcery type adapted to the comic books rather than the original historic fury that Howard briefly wrote about. Re: Algernon Files Plot Seeds, anyone? On behalf of SkeletonMan- 1) Instead of having Protorean working for Istvatha V'han as Lord Liaden suggested, an alternative would be having the two of them battling over the same dimension which has some strategic advantage to them both. (The Old Doctor Who plot Sontarans vs. the Ruetens plot). 2) There was a team of female demons called the Hell's Belle's in one of the M&M magazines. Although they were absolutely nothing to do with the Algernon Hell's Belle's- in my game i used the idea of an evil version of the band summoned by some villain ( perhaps Purgatory's father) to discredit them. In this plot the heroes would start out chasing the real Belle's before later fighting alongside them against the evil(er) version of the band. 3) Taking the Prometheans and removing Dr. Prometheus (interesting character but very much a Silver Age idea.) and breaking up the team, having them act independently or in small groups most of the time, (this could make the group more useful if you are running a low-power level or Claremont style game).
