  1. Mobile banking app. Just take a picture from the comfort of your couch.
  2. Which part is Australian? This is nearly a quote that I heard from my co-workers when I was in the UK last year. They didn't say trolley though. It was a plate of food he commented on. I'm always amazed at how diverse language is even within a given area. Heard a ton of diversity in both New Zealand and Australia during the various tours we took.
  3. "Looks like you have a smart trolley there mate."
  4. The assumption I got from this morning's press briefing was that taxes still had to be filed on time; however, the standard delayed payment option will be available to more Americans.
  5. How many of those are left? We only have one in Sacramento now.
  6. Good thing this is an election year... Now you know who to remove from office.
  7. Was just talking about this with a friend. This is really on the money. Most small businesses don't have the two month's of capital they will need to stay alive. This is going to kill so many businesses out there. Looks like Amazon is going to be the biggest winner in all this.

  9. Schools in Sacramento and Woodland are all closed now as well. Farther north in the more rural area of the valley it looks like schools are still in session, but are being monitored. Universities down south are switching to remote classes only. I suspect by the end of next week, all of California is going to be shut down.
  10. And, as usual, I see no mention of Hero System support. How many times do I have to tell these people, "make it work for Hero, and there isn't a game system out there it won't work for."
  11. My company just made it official - professional services is switching to all remote work. Looks like I'm not traveling next week afterall.
  12. Just received an email: Roll20 is having a Stay At Home, Play At Home special.
  13. My son was excited by this article. He's studying epidemiology in college and they are actually doing virus isolation in one of his classes.
  14. Hopefully this link works for you. I would not want to be in Italy right now. https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2020-03-11/coronavirus-italy-quarantine-infection?utm_source=pocket&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=pockethits
  15. So I'm back from my trip to Chattanooga by way of O'Hare airport. I could write up a couple paragraphs of what I saw from the laughable over reactions to the downright "This is all a hoax" comments. I am happy to report that at the time of this posting, I have no flu like symptoms. I will be going to LA next week to a hospital, so I'll once again be venturing right into the mouth of the lion. Meanwhile, we have hospitals all over the country cancelling our onsite engagements and asking that all work be done remotely, which thankfully is a piece of cake for most of our implementations. Also, my company like others are offering free temporary use of our software to allow for remote work. I've seen a handful of other companies doing the same.
  16. They are shutting down our entire school district where I live for a week.
  17. Personally, I'm loving all the fear. My flights have been far less crowded. I'm expecting to get first class upgrades for my flights next week, but we'll see.
  18. That''s La Chic if you're nasty.
  19. THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I work around healthcare providers and none of them are freaking out.... yet. So, I'm going with the flow.
  20. Appreciate that. Thanks. And for the record, I'm not doing anything other than washing my hands. Not wiping down any surfaces or wearing a mask or anything. So, if I get it, you'll know why.
  21. And yes, the point of my hospital visits are to meet with corporate IT folks, so that will happen as well. Have I hit the perfect storm yet?
  22. Pretty much. This is my job. I didn't say anything about hoping to avoid germs. Germs are everywhere. But my wife is a school teacher, so I'm sure she'll be sweetening the pot with some help from the little ones.
  23. As an example of said individuals, I appreciate your sentiment. As mentioned earlier, I'll be engaging in some robust travel for the next few weeks, starting with a trip through O'Hare on Monday. The one good thing is that my customers are hospitals, so I'm always close to assistance should I need it. Wish me luck.
  24. Home is Sacramento, so ground zero of patient zero of the pandemic. Thankfully I travel for work in healthcare visiting hospitals all over the country and I'm on airplanes constantly and not in Sacramento. Oh wait... maybe that's not a good thing. I fly to Chattanooga next week, then southern California the following, and then Reno for about three weeks. So, I'll be constantly surrounded by people, that should help make my immunity system stronger, right?
  25. I agree with the suggestions above. Also note that depending on the version of Windows and the servers you are using, TLS may not even be enabled. Some systems I come across on a weekly basis still have SSL 1.0 enabled. smh Also, you may want to look at Vipre (not a typo) as a replacement AV. It is much lighter on the system and has an incredible customer service, engineering, and product features. I have it on my home PCs. At my last job, we used it enterprise wide, and they even gave us a free home license for every user! (I'm sure it was bundled into our licensing). Finally, if you are running Java, remove all versions you have, and if you need it (such as for HD), then install only the latest version and keep it updated. Finally, you really don't want to run more than one AV on your system at a time. There is a lot of potential there for process threading problems if they fight over the same files to scan it. So stick with just one. Also, what browser are you using?
