  1. Re: Musings on Random Musings

BTW, lemming, since you're here, man is "Laughton" taxing me with his investigations! Good fun, though. But running a campaign with 2 100+ INT characters is as much blessing as curse - it makes for a lot of work but also makes the plots move quickly.

And the tricky/interesting part is that Miq seems to relish conspiracy stuff as much as I do, so some of the backstory stuff just gets more and more...interesting.

You'll all probably see the write-ups (and go WTF?!) sometime early-mid week since we're still PBEMing.

Excellent. I wish I could keep up, just haven't been able to, but enjoying the results.

Oh yeah! I'm fine, thanks! :)

It turned out being some sort of bladder/urinary infection or something. Lots of water and some pills fixed me right up.

It was just that when it happened, I actually wigged out a little. :nonp:

yea. It's an understandable time to wig. I know I did. (Years ago I got my kidney bruised in an accident.)

  3. Re: Who's the most nearly-invulnerable...

Mr. Invulnerable. He's not a superhero or a supervillain, just a minor celebrity (he's been on various talk shows demonstrating his schtick). He's an NPC who is simply invulnerable (GM fiat is the mechanism). NOTHING (including lack of air, food, etc) can harm him, but otherwise he's a normal man. No superhuman strength, no insanely high CON or BOD or PD, no defenses, no particular combat skills.

Just a regular guy with 100% Damage Reduction. Bury him under the rubble of a collapsed building and he can't move until someone digs him out, but he won't be harmed in the least. Set off a nuke under his chair and he'll be flung high in the air...but he won't be hurt.

Similar to my Mr. Impervious, though mine was also a martial artist with gun skills. I think he was 125 defenses with damage reduction vs NNDs that somehow got by his special def.

Scales was my former tough one. A super strong brick with the ability to shrug off most damage in the campaign. Base 65 def, doubly hardnened with 75% damage reduction. And then a power pool for extra defenses.

    Yanno...

You're the same height as Doc Savage.

You have the coolest Avatar around.

    You're a biscuit away from 15K.

And you have a wife that buys you porn.

When do I get to be so lucky?

Actually, I should qualify that. She buys herself porn. ;) And apparently I have to get five minions. work to be done.

  5. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

Would any of you guys give up sports' date=' porn, meat, or hanging out in bars with the guys for a girlfriend? I don't mean a live in one, just a plain, old basic girlfriend.[/quote']

Hmm, don't do sports, meat, or hanging out in bars. And the wife bought the porn... What's the downside again?

    Compelling, but rather Vogonish.

  7. Re: The Last Word

I'm hoping to take some significant time off the end of this year... :eg:

(Actually I hope to spend it reading, not so much on the boards)

(And did you check out my Invisibles write-ups? They're in the Champions thread, would be interested in hearing your opinion, on or off the boards)

Yep. I see your doing the Invisible/Incredible bit.

You can't see me, I'm Incredible!

  8. Re: The Last Word

Crap 11 more posts - anyone have any bright ideas what to do for 25K? Can I just copy and paste a DH article and say I wrote it? :sneaky:

    D'OH! TEN MORE!

Apparently congrats on spewing even more posts. Though Agent-X & I still have more posts than you when added. :nya:

  9. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Not strictly a quote, but the write up from zornwil's game amused me. Disclaimer: I run Suzanne, also known as Spectrum.

Suzanne also takes time to use her legal skills and work with some of the disturbed folk, assuring waivers are signed and no charges are pressed. T-shirts are made saying "I got slightly injured and signed a waiver and all I got was this lousy t-shirt," a trademark of the Justice Squad.
