Re: Show me the PC
I'd show you Spectrum, but then you'd just point out all the abuses that Zornwil is letting me get away with.
I'll actually dig out some past PCs though.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
I was noting this AM that I had sent 514 emails at work (99% business related' date=' okay, maybe 95%) across 7.5 business days.[/quote']I speak for many on the board when I say I'm not surprised.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
BTW, lemming, since you're here, man is "Laughton" taxing me with his investigations! Good fun, though. But running a campaign with 2 100+ INT characters is as much blessing as curse - it makes for a lot of work but also makes the plots move quickly. And the tricky/interesting part is that Miq seems to relish conspiracy stuff as much as I do, so some of the backstory stuff just gets more and more...interesting.
You'll all probably see the write-ups (and go WTF?!) sometime early-mid week since we're still PBEMing.
Excellent. I wish I could keep up, just haven't been able to, but enjoying the results.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
Oh yeah! I'm fine, thanks! It turned out being some sort of bladder/urinary infection or something. Lots of water and some pills fixed me right up.
It was just that when it happened, I actually wigged out a little.
yea. It's an understandable time to wig. I know I did. (Years ago I got my kidney bruised in an accident.)

Re: Musings on Random Musings
Never experienced that. She's not beastly ugly' date=' or ugly at all for that matter, though also not attractive, either.[/quote']Well, stupidity isn't an attractive quality. Sorry to hear about the work idiot.

Re: Who's the most nearly-invulnerable...
Mr. Invulnerable. He's not a superhero or a supervillain, just a minor celebrity (he's been on various talk shows demonstrating his schtick). He's an NPC who is simply invulnerable (GM fiat is the mechanism). NOTHING (including lack of air, food, etc) can harm him, but otherwise he's a normal man. No superhuman strength, no insanely high CON or BOD or PD, no defenses, no particular combat skills.Just a regular guy with 100% Damage Reduction. Bury him under the rubble of a collapsed building and he can't move until someone digs him out, but he won't be harmed in the least. Set off a nuke under his chair and he'll be flung high in the air...but he won't be hurt.
Similar to my Mr. Impervious, though mine was also a martial artist with gun skills. I think he was 125 defenses with damage reduction vs NNDs that somehow got by his special def.
Scales was my former tough one. A super strong brick with the ability to shrug off most damage in the campaign. Base 65 def, doubly hardnened with 75% damage reduction. And then a power pool for extra defenses.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER
Are they hot sexy minions of all three hair colors' date=' an Asian Chick and a Black Girl?[/quote']Hmm, might have to see if I have those copies of the Fabulous Five.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER
Yanno...You're the same height as Doc Savage.
You have the coolest Avatar around.
You're a biscuit away from 15K.
And you have a wife that buys you porn.
When do I get to be so lucky?
Actually, I should qualify that. She buys herself porn. And apparently I have to get five minions. work to be done.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
what can I say? perhaps I have a Vogonish soul....and then, like Babylon 5, they'll find me and discover I and geeks like me are where Vogon souls have been going... and we'll all get together and compose great...err... compelling epics about it.
I was talking Vogon, not Vorlon.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER
Would any of you guys give up sports' date=' porn, meat, or hanging out in bars with the guys for a girlfriend? I don't mean a live in one, just a plain, old basic girlfriend.[/quote']Hmm, don't do sports, meat, or hanging out in bars. And the wife bought the porn... What's the downside again?

Re: Musings on Random Musings
Foggy numb think think make no good for action do. Sadness. Stare and blink blink eye rub is no go. Rest? No. Sigh. Yes. Doggie go pat pat and now drink drink maybe.Sorrowful swillings, thoughts that are chilling, and lives that go 'bump' in the road.
burma knave
Compelling, but rather Vogonish.

Re: The Last Word
I'm hoping to take some significant time off the end of this year...(Actually I hope to spend it reading, not so much on the boards)
(And did you check out my Invisibles write-ups? They're in the Champions thread, would be interested in hearing your opinion, on or off the boards)
Yep. I see your doing the Invisible/Incredible bit.
You can't see me, I'm Incredible!

Re: The "The Invisibles Writeups " is really "The Incredibles Writeups"
Just FYI, in case anyone was ignoring the Invisibles for lack of interest but is actually interested in the Incredibles. Perhaps Ben will fix it, but if not, this is an FYI post/thread.
Sorry.
Hah! Just a scheme for you to up your post count!

Re: A Thread for Random Musings
Couldn't remember exactly which day I started saving all my spam to a folder so looked at it today. December 23rd will the the one year spot and I'm curious if it looks like I'll fall just short of 30,000.

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...
Not strictly a quote, but the write up from zornwil's game amused me. Disclaimer: I run Suzanne, also known as Spectrum.
Suzanne also takes time to use her legal skills and work with some of the disturbed folk, assuring waivers are signed and no charges are pressed. T-shirts are made saying "I got slightly injured and signed a waiver and all I got was this lousy t-shirt," a trademark of the Justice Squad.

Hmm, I'm another one with a large stack of books & other stuff to read thru. Some of it reference, some just for fun.
