  1. Re: Musings on Random Musings

    Letterman's not a comedian, he's a salesman.

He's sold the idea that he's funny and a talk show host. He's about as funny as a root canal, and he is the absolute worst talk show host ever.

What he is is an attention whore.

I like him. I think he was better in the 80s, but always better than Leno. Attention whore? probably, but then I think that would be a qualifier for many on TV.

Ice Pirate - One of her hobbies is to paint forgeries with slight twists. She also sculpts. For sports she likes skiing.

Calico - Not much for doing stuff off time. Competetive sports where she can try to burn off some of her anger issues.

Scales - He does a lot of reading especially researching history.

Spectrum - Leisure time!? We get that? She tries to spend time with her boyfriend, but it's infrequent.

  3. Re: A Difficult Power

Okay, I think I have to ask this question, because I honestly think it doesn't get asked enough.

How in the world is this a superhero?

Depends on campaign tone and how it's presented. Somehow I don't see this hero getting the key to the city anytime soon or in a public type of role, but the character could be heroic without the traditional trappings of a hero.

Now if he took over someone's living body each day and discarded an empty husk at the end, you might have a better point.

Possibly a VPP with the GM allowed skills, KS, etc...

    30 point VPP (15 control)

Limitations: No Consious Control or maybe phrased GM approved setup (-2)

    Locks out usual skills (?)

Adv: No skill roll (or maybe you want one to get the right personality?)

    How's that for starters?

    And a non-dill version:

    Creamy Ranch Dressing

    (makes 1 cup)

    Ingredients

3/4 cup plain low fat yogurt

    1/4 cup low-fat mayonnaise

    1 tablespoon cider vinegar

    2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

    1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

    1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

    1 green onion, minced

    Directions

In a small bowl, add all ingredients; mix with a whisk until blended. Cover and refrigerate.

How do they make ranch dressing? All I can figure out is it has dill in it and white dairy stuff...

    From Recipe Czar

    • 15 saltines
    • 2 cups dry parsley flakes, minced
    • 1/2 cup instant minced onion
    • 2 tablespoons dry dill weed
    • 1/4 cup onion salt
    • 1/4 cup garlic salt
    • 1/4 cup onion powder
    • 1/4 cup garlic powder

    1. Place crackers through blender on high speed until powdered.
    2. Add parsley, minced onion and dill weed.
    3. Blend again until powdered.
    4. Dump into a bowl.
    5. Stir in onion powder and salt, and garlic powder and salt. Put into container with tight fitting lid.
    6. Store dry mix at room temperature for up to 1 year.
    7. To mix: combine 1 Tbsp. dry mix, 1 cup of mayonnaise and 1 cup of buttermilk.

I'm sure WM will have a tastier version up later.
