Re: Party!
Ice Pirate - One of her hobbies is to paint forgeries with slight twists. She also sculpts. For sports she likes skiing.
Calico - Not much for doing stuff off time. Competetive sports where she can try to burn off some of her anger issues.
Scales - He does a lot of reading especially researching history.
Spectrum - Leisure time!? We get that? She tries to spend time with her boyfriend, but it's infrequent.

Re: A Difficult Power
Okay, I think I have to ask this question, because I honestly think it doesn't get asked enough. How in the world is this a superhero?
Depends on campaign tone and how it's presented. Somehow I don't see this hero getting the key to the city anytime soon or in a public type of role, but the character could be heroic without the traditional trappings of a hero.
Now if he took over someone's living body each day and discarded an empty husk at the end, you might have a better point.

Re: Channeling Past Lives
Possibly a VPP with the GM allowed skills, KS, etc...
30 point VPP (15 control)
Limitations: No Consious Control or maybe phrased GM approved setup (-2)
Locks out usual skills (?)
Adv: No skill roll (or maybe you want one to get the right personality?)
How's that for starters?

Re: DNPC: My Cat
For anyone who doubts that a pet can be just as much of a DNPC as a person,I submit the following:
http://www.snopes.com/horrors/freakish/hotsprng.htm
Although it is from the Urban Legends site, it is a true story.
They just happened to have the most detailed account I could easily find.
Something about burns makes me more twitchy than any other sort of injuries or death.
But yea, good example.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
And a non-dill version:
Creamy Ranch Dressing
(makes 1 cup)
Ingredients
3/4 cup plain low fat yogurt
1/4 cup low-fat mayonnaise
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1 green onion, minced
Directions
In a small bowl, add all ingredients; mix with a whisk until blended. Cover and refrigerate.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
How do they make ranch dressing? All I can figure out is it has dill in it and white dairy stuff...From Recipe Czar
- 15 saltines
- 2 cups dry parsley flakes, minced
- 1/2 cup instant minced onion
- 2 tablespoons dry dill weed
- 1/4 cup onion salt
- 1/4 cup garlic salt
- 1/4 cup onion powder
- 1/4 cup garlic powder
- Place crackers through blender on high speed until powdered.
- Add parsley, minced onion and dill weed.
- Blend again until powdered.
- Dump into a bowl.
- Stir in onion powder and salt, and garlic powder and salt. Put into container with tight fitting lid.
- Store dry mix at room temperature for up to 1 year.
- To mix: combine 1 Tbsp. dry mix, 1 cup of mayonnaise and 1 cup of buttermilk.
I'm sure WM will have a tastier version up later.
- 15 saltines

Re: Does Hero System "break" at higher levels, and if so, at what level?
I have in the past had/allowed characters with over a 12 SPD. With an 18 SPD you would act on every phase and twice on 2' date=' 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 (SPD 12 + SPD 6).[/quote']That's how we did it as well. The second phase happened at 1/2 dex with us.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
I like him. I think he was better in the 80s, but always better than Leno. Attention whore? probably, but then I think that would be a qualifier for many on TV.
