Shows distribution of Surnames in the states, kind of interesting
http://www.census.gov/genealogy/names
Files with the 1990 US census. Not only do you get all the names, but a percentage value for each.

The "official" version is still worth buying. Hey, get both.

Google 25mm Hex bases for a bunch of different ones, even
Though for $10.50 Jeff Valent Studios has a pack of 100 plain ones

Warhammer has the 25mm hex bases for some of their figures. I think they sell the bases seperately, but you'd have to look into that. (This data may have changed since the elf on my shelf was painted...)

Sergeant Sonic to NPC: "Well, sometimes people need to disappear."
Let's just say the particular NPC isn't very trusting of the Sarge anymore.

And on the Toowoomba connection, my step-sister in law lives there. Other than that, I have no knowledge of the place...

Someone less lazy than me can do the search, but I remember some sort of comment made in one of the forums. I didn't comment, but I did like it.Originally posted by Steve LongSecond, you can find the link to the cover in my April 18 news update. I was kind of surprised no one commented on it, since it's a damn cool piece of art.

On the subject of birthdays, and apropos of nothing, when looking to see how pathetically aged you all are, I noticed that tsejui and Geoff Speare were both born on December 31, 1969. I find that to be freakishly coincidental and highly unlikely. Therefore, I am going to assume that they are the same person.
You should note that a lot of people have that as their birthday. Something probably to do with the date field not wanting to deal with negative numbers is my guess. Though, the birthday is still noted correctly when it comes up.

Something positive is a bit on topic. If you check any of the archives, be warned that it could be termed offensive to some.

Hmm. How about the characters conspiring to exchange the brain of a border collie with one of the NPCs in the game?
Wilson goes with the flow pretty well I have to say.

That's why I was checking it out to see if there was anything still there on sale. Still some stuff, but nothing to make a trip for.

Grrr. Just checked out the WotC store in Portland. Barely anything in the Roleplaying section. All D20. blek.

Hmm, I think anything about New Millenium can be considered not to be a going concern. I think you can find elements of New Millenium in the current products which is only natural, since some of the authors worked on both.
-
Eh, there's some interesting stuff out of the New Millenium stuff. However, it's less compatable than 3rd & 4th edition hero.
At 70%, buy all the DOJ stuff. Well worth it. If you don't think so, you could always ebay it at a slight markup.
hmm, I think there's a WC store in town....

Maybe they'll be forced to Sail Away?

Wildcards: The first six or seven are worth reading. I'm trying to remember exactly where I dropped the series, but yeah, ou should be able to find the original printings in used book stores.
Superheroes: Great book. The Cleaning superhero story was my favorite.

"Well, Fall isn't the right word. I put in some more Starbucks while raising the price of coffee beans... mwhwhahaha!"
This concept stolen from some cruel office tricks email:
I see Foxbat secretly substituting decaf in all the coffee shops in Lansing, gradually going from full caff to decaf. Then after a few weeks, shipping in the double-caffiene beans! think of the chaos! MWA HA HA HA HA HA!

Advice on graphic file formats.
Keep an original in a non-lossy format. I tend to keep mine in .png format since it has most of the advatages and none of the disadvantages.
JPG uses lossy compression. I post web images and the like using it since it's universally accepted by browsers, though PNG is commonly enough accepted. However, I do all my work in PNG before hand. Everytime you open and save a JPG file. you'll lose some information.

Heh, that's why whenever I see the Champions I go "ack!" See, my first PC was called Nighthawk and that was back in 1982.
When I first saw this thread, I was going "What's the big deal?", but then since it's an e-book, I now see the point. I would assume Steve would be the one to ask.

Originally posted by RevHooliganOne of my PCs is an Indiana Jones meets Thor style multiform with an Egyptian theme. I was thinking of an ancient warrior clan type dealie thingamabob guy and maybe a hawkheaded living statue type guy and... well, I'm sucking bilge water on these. Any ideas?
Well, Set is the designated god of evil. Look up some info on him via the web. Evil priests and would probably work well. Perhaps your hero is imbued with the power of Horus? Horus and Set didn't like each other at all. Hope this late night ramble helps.

Heh. I think Catacomb is right. However, I doubt Supes would bring that out of him.
Hmm, though it does remind me of all the times Hercules would give Thor "The Gift".
