I truly hate what they've done to the stormtroopers.....They are supposed to be Spec force not spec fodder lol! there were actual regular army troopers that we never saw.....I think I should build a stormtrooper to reflect this.

From what I've researched, It seems to be that the master gives the padawan his first lightsaber so the padawan can learn about it. It is one of the requirements for knighthood that he constructs his own though. But on Starwars rebels, which is canon, Ezra built his own first before Kanan started teaching him. So I guess it depends on the master I guess. Plus it is much more than just building a lightsaber. It's treated like a bonding exercise in the force. Some Jedi regard the lightsaber not as a weapon but more like a focusing tool for the force.

I really appreciate That! I'm getting back into the conversion...had to take a break due to work. so I was thinking of doing martial arts next. Or should I start on races?

that lightsaber challenge is very real! I think I did it justice, however. As far as the light side/ darkside issue......I think I may make it an ego check and make a disadvantage for both light and dark side.

from what I learned, Their strength comes from their coordination. have several firing on one person and down they go. So definitely teamwork at the least. And remember, Stormtroopers are Special forces, Like the basic special forces soldier. There are regular army soldiers so when they see storm troopers, it needs to be something to fear.

if you have a rule book from the 90s, it the WEG version. And don't worry about your ewok hunting; my favorite line in my group is "you wake up. What do you do next." They've learned to be wary of that inquiry lol

oh yeah the d6 fan base is strong...I actually had to debate the change to hero....... They held the license until 1998, which then was held by WotC until 2010. I'm currently only using those two properties since they are "dead". but I may just go dark until I'm completely done with the prefab. I got a few martial arts and about a dozen lightsaber crystals to finish.

I thought about that too......Originally we where going to do a star wars inspired mekton game.....Hell we may still do it: This is still building in progress. but I do appreciate that is still some interest. Well Time to update again...

right now we are looking at the KOTOR era......that seem like the best time for what every one is looking at. as far as canon, I'm sticking to EU, original canon ( Also known as Legends), Eventhough one in my group HATES the yuhzan vhong. Though we may jump to legacy as I feel that era has much to offer....I got a new file to update....I've been working on MA for the light saber forms. And I've been searching the internet for all things starwars, From wookiepedia to the dark jedi brotherhood. This has actually been a summer project of research and Development. But I will grab that d6 to hero conversion. I'm just really surprise this isn't in constant rotation.

lets start with the light saber....with crystals! revised it a bit after running it by my team....I would love some feedback! Basically I gave the lightsaber a base damage. the individual crystals enhance from there. all you have to do is link the two powers and viola! update time.......now with Martial arts! star wars - lightsaber-revised and martial arts.hdp

I'm getting ready to start a campaign for Star wars with 6th edition rules and while I was searching to see if there was anybody who have done it, All I found where dead links or posts of people who did not want to share. I don't know how long this campaign is gonna last but do you guys want to see what I've done? or does anyone have material that could make my work a little easier? I'm finishing up the lightsaber tonight and then I'm gonna work the martial arts. After that are the packages. Any and all help will be appreciated.

I second what Mac Goddess said, We need a world book. if you can do it for champions, you can do it for Fantasy Hero. I had no problem with the ages series, it was interesting on how you kept them in the overall universe.

Re: The Guardians Project - Lets build the original Champions you guys are doing great I think you should stick to starting points and if you want......make higher point versions of them.....just a thought. I was also looking through and I saw a couple of heroes that were in the coriolis(?) effect adventure: Dr. arcane transpower/lady arcane Black enchantress also nightwind was in the comics but as a gadgeteer/batman/ghost type(flare couldn't stand him. she thought he was too creepy.)

I just purchased a LOT of heroic publishing comics the other day and now there are writeups!! one question....are you guys going to include anything from the comics? I know its been awhile since I built a champs char(semi-retired) but I can supply you guys with all the comics if that can help you out on this endeavor.

Re: HERO SYSTEM MARTIAL ARTS -- What Do *You* Want To See? I would also like to add in another mention of a substyle for knifefighting: the Apache Knife Fighting and Battle Tactics, or AKFBT. I learned about this in my last year in the military from a friend of mine. I asked for it to be mentioned as a substyle because their is very little on the literature and they teach it by seminars. also for a substyle in Muay thai: Yaw Yan. translated as the "Dance of Death". I would give it some intro but you know what they say about pictures and how many words they are worth......... more dice to the pool:thumbup:
