  1. Re: W W Y G M D ??

Your character approached an NPC talent agent about doing nude pics (Yes, your character has to be a human or else the publication might be Popular Mechanics or Astronomy magazine and it would loose the flavor of the question)?

They'd wonder what was up and then let it happen.

What would your GM do if you came up with a solution using your powers or buying a new power that solved a major world problem that would change the environment of the game (i.e. "I just solved world hunger by using 5 pts. Do I get the Nobel?")

    Not let it happen.

What would your GM do if you choose to have your character decide to go "Rogue" and begin a life of crime?

I think all of them would roll with it and see where I was heading with it.

What would your GM do if your character (one without Code VS. Killing) decided that a villain was just too dangerous to live with that much power and prison obviously couldn't contain him? What if your description was good enough to make it look like self-defense? What if it was a private killing, no witnesses?

It would be allowed to happen (it already did happen in one of our games). I expect the villian's son or daughter would start looking for her killed their parent. (When I killed a villain before their son, who had been an NPC hero in the same city tracked me down and eventualy turned to a life of crime.)

  2. Re: Martial Arts Question

in theory... it's a Trained Move By where you know how to do it without hurting yourself. Just a guess. A lot like the difference between Strike and Martial Strike. Both know how to hit people' date=' one's just more effective at it.[/quote']

    Repped.

  3. I've got a player who wants this power, but I'm not sure its legal.

    Healing 2 BODY, Can Heal Limbs, Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2), Persistent (+1/2), Area Of Effect (20" Radius; +1 1/2), Selective (+1/4), Two-Dimensional (-1/4) (87 Active Points); Extra Time (Regeneration-Only) 1 Turn (Post-Segment 12) (-1 1/4), Gestures (-1/4), Incantations (-1/4)

  4. Re: Time Traveller Knowledge - Precognition, KS, something else...?

It should definetly be a knowledge skill. If its Precog then you'll know how what you've done in the past has affected the future. Which I don't think makes sense. If you stop John Doe from being assassinated then you don't know how that will change the future. Buy the Knowledge skill "KS: Future History".

  5. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

    You're a nice guy.

I woulda said that the (17d6) blast made a giant crater...

...and he just has to fall a bit farther now...

...for a couple more dice of damage.

    :help:

It was a more four color game then usual. Otherwise that wouldn't have helped.

  6. Re: WWYCD: Fundamentalist against non-tech supers.

Gregory Cauldron: Gregory's code of honor would force him to confront this man. He'd demand an apology and for him to renounce what he's been saying. If he didn't then Gregory would cast his truth spell on him and ask if he ordered the attacks, did he suggest them...ect. Then he'd turn him into a newt for about a month. Honor satisfied.

Weaver: He'd search for a dimension where this guy uses magic or is a mutant and then bring him to ours and have them meet face to face.

  7. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

    What did the player do??

Leapt off the rocket and used his 17d6, one shot, hand cannon to shoot the ground as he neared it. I ruled that it slowed him down enough that he survive the impact, but not by much. Another teammate had to heal him but he survived.

  8. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

GM(Me): You successfully divert the rocket. As you ride the rocket towards the side of the mountain it occurs to you that you gave Geiger your Jet Boots and you can't survive the drop to the ground.

Me: But I can survive the impact, right?

    GM: No Mr. NCM.

  9. Re: The difference between a Brick and a Tank

For me a brick has always been defined by their massive strength and physical toughness.

A tank on the other hand has always been, at least to me, defined by their high defenses, both physical and energy, and high recovery. A tank might not do a lot of damage in one hit, but you can bet he'll take less damage and fight longer then you.

  10. Re: I can't wrap my head around a....

Just a couple of things, for me:

    1. Mimes :D
In the first Batman movie, when those mimes showed up on the steps of Gotham City Hall, I knew something evil was about to happen! :P
    2. More seriously: Wuxia
(Especially if the GM and/or Player tries to argue the wuxia PC's powers are not magic!

    Franklin

Freaky. I just finished writing up a Mime martial artist.
