  1. Very interesting idea but it would require players who are either young themselves or could convincingly portray someone that age.

Actor in movies or TV in their mid to late twentys playing 15 year olds gets sad pretty quick. Look at "That 70's Show", and see the difference between Mila Kunis who was 16 when the show started and the rest of the gang.

  2. Hunters should come organically from the character origin and history. Either that or from discussion with the GM, maybe holding back the identity of the Hunter until someone presents themselves naturally from the storyline.

  3. The villain that's a Darkseid ripoff?

How can it be a ripoff when both were created by Jack Kirby as part of the same story. He wanted to keep going on the New Gods storylines when he returned to Marvel back from DC. So he just started on the first book they gave him...the comic version of 2001:A Space Oddessy and turned it into the Eternals.

The same way he made the comic Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen the flagship of the New Gods books a few years before.

  4. Everything. I've stolen from AHEM I mean been inspired by TV shows, old movies, comics, and novels.

For the premier episode of a 1930's game I ran I used the plot from an audio tape of the old radio show Sam Spade. It was a sequel to the Maltese Falcon written by Dashiel Hammett.

Actually I found the tape in the depths of the main branch of the Boston Public Library and it inspired me to start the campaign.

Robert Heinlein said " if you steal from three or more sources, it's research.

  5. It does unless your GM is not very observant or experienced.  This is by definition exactly a limitation that is not worth as much because of circumstances.  Its like having a power that only works in darkness and a perpetual darkness field.  Ordinarily, maybe a ½ limitation, but now?  It may not be worth anything.

The problem was that it was a multi-GM game. A couple of them loved the character and the rest had to kind of lump it coming into their games every so often. The player was cool enough that when he saw it was starting real world problems he retired the Char.

It was kind of like the situation with Squirrel Girl in Marvel. Some Writers/Editors love that she can go toe to toe with Dr. Doom and some want her to get run over with a truck and die.
