  1. Re: Corporate Hero

I'd do the Red Tape Entangle as BOECV and uses EGO to break out instead of STR, and have the target believe they have to file the proper paperwork before they can take another action. In their head, they have to fill out and then find the right office or counter to file it properly.

  2. Re: Favorite lost villain group

I tend to use C.L.O.W.N. for my wackier villain schemes and as comic relief when the tone of the campaign gets a little too dark or serious. The Criminal Legion Of Wacky Nonconformists should always be lighthearted and used sparingly.

  3. Re: Your occupation, please.

Jack "Crash" Parker: Mutant brick who worked as a Hollywood stunt man. Got his nick name from crashing all sorts of vehicles for different realistic movie shots.

The Brain: Super-Scientist and gadgeteer. Worked as an accountant for a toy company. He could do in an hour what it would take a normal CPA 2 days to do, and never made mistakes. Therefor his superviser never said a word if he had to leave for any reason, or didn't come in for a few days.

ElectroMite: A shrinker with electric powers worked as a electrician for the city.

  4. Re: Wacky attack

Actually, to be fair, it should be compared to the equivalent amount of 'Standard Effect' damage.

60 Standard Effect Blast: EB 15d6 (standard effect: 45 STUN), STUN Only (+0) (75 Active Points); No Knockback (-1/4) - END=7

Actually, the average roll on a d6 is 3.5

that makes the average STUN on a 15d6 EB is 52.5

  5. Re: World Watchers Beta Team

I love the idea, but sadly I haven't introducted Foxbat to the group yet. I think he'd have to be a better known villain to use him like this.

...On the other hand...hmmm. This would be a great opportunity to revise and upgrade any Master Plan...

  6. Hello Fellow Herophiles.

The super team I am currently running believes they need to hire a backup team. They are taking applications on their website or any way applicants can get one to their base. I've been having fun coming up with heroes that would want to apply for membership to the worlds premiere super team. Usually membership is invite only.

I thought I'd let you folks in on the fun. I'm looking for heroes with 100-350 pts. I don't need write-ups. What I'm after is a good description of the hero and their powers and personality. The leader of the World Watchers (PC Team) is coming up with a questionaire for the website in game. When I get that I'll post it here to make things easier.

Give me your serious heroes, your silly heroes, and one trick ponies. I'm looking to give the group LOTS of apllicants. Many will be turned down outright, but I will use as many as I can as recurring NPCs.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

  7. Re: Expensive superhero powers

Metal Master: He has a 7d6 Major Transform (Any metal to any other metal)

    Active and Real cost:135pts

The next biggest power in the group would be

Sparkler: She has an ED Energy Blast 20d6 "Spark Blast". Think of the end of a lit sparkler, then multiply it by 1000 and shoot it from your extended hands. It does have the Lim: Gestures (Both hands) -1/2

    Active cost:100pts Real Cost:67pts

  8. Re: WWYD: Taking it to the street

Jack "Crash" Parker: Being a super tough mutant brick who looks, pretty much normal, Jack would put on a new costume. The costume would comform to the "Norm" for the current street level vigilantes in the city. He'd take to carrying a couple guns and REALLY pull his punches.

He'd adopt a totally new identity. He'd have the detective and a few other contacts make the new identity "real" with a background and past life before coming to the city. Jack would rent an apartmant and keep his vigilantism a secret. Hoping to bait the culprit to attack him, he'd do patrols and interact with the other street level heroes of the city.

If he does get the murderer to attack him, it's all over. Jack is much more than a street level hero. He has a STR of 60, 40 rPD, 40 rED as well as many other minor powers. He doesn't need to sleep, so, although it would be boring. He'll spend 8 hours a day pretending to sleep and waiting for the culprit.

Hopefully, this would take less than a couple weeks. Even if the ploy doesn't work, Jack would get to know the lesser heroes of the city. Maybe he can put things together with detective work during his non-decoy periods.

  9. Re: Ideas for Dino Character

What would Dino Magic be like? Well, that would depend on the type of Dino Culture your character will be from. Are you going for early monolithic, nomadic, agricultural, hunter/gatherers?

I'd go with some sort of Spirit Magic or Ancestor spirit Magic. Nature Magic would probably work, as well.

  10. Re: The PRE Brick?

Nice build. I'd let this character into my group. I don't think the concept of a PRE brick is too different from any other CHAR based hero. Everyone goes for STR or DEX in their hero build. I like the change to a more subtle hero. She would be very useful to any group.

  11. Re: Skillful of you

    15 Overconfidence (VCom, Mod)

    10 Curious (Com,Mod)

25 True Jack of All Trades, 16-

25 Universal Scholar, (Int roll +5)-

I think knowing most PS and KS would be sweet. I'd probably write books and try to get a do-it-yourself show. I'd also like to travel around the country, doing whatever jobs were available to make money as I go. Maybe even bartering my skills for cash and food and a place to crash.

  12. Re: Evil Counterparts

Thanks for your responses, folks. I hit my group with their counterparts from another Earth yesterday evening. I'd say it went well. I can't say exactly why the alternates invaded their dimension (because I have players who check in here). The home team "won" today, but most of the "evil" counterparts got away. Now the alternate group who got away (with a few cool objects from the heroes trophy room) haqve actually called their base to talk about getting their freinds back...oh, and to threaten to nuke their base if they don't.

The alternate James Bond is threatening this world's James Bond with a nuclear bomb explosion "near" their base (also near Chicago) if their freinds are not released. That is where we left off this session.

I'll Let you know what happens.

  13. O.K. Ogre has an NND Bearhug 6d6 Energy Blast. The defense is self contained breathing. Question: What if the one grabbed has Extended breathing? The brick in my group only needs to expend to expend END after 20 minutes of not breathing. Does he take the EB Dam after 20 mins held in the grab?
