  1. Hey, I sent in an adventure for the free stuff section - 'Viper - To Build A Better You'. Is it any good? I'd like to submit more, but I'm looking for any feedback you all would offer. Thanks. wlg
  2. Re: need a villain organization name Once again, thanks for some really great suggestions! I'm gonna end up using a few of these for different groups I have coming up. wlg
  3. Hi, I'm putting together a villian organization and am looking for a cool name. they are based on AIM = Advanced Idea Mechanics. a tech-based villain group, but I'm looking for a different and/or original name for them. Any suggestions? wlg
  4. Re: Speedster advice Hey thanks! There are some great suggestions here. I appreciate all the replies. wlg
  5. Hi, I'm looking for some suggestion on how to treat a speedster concept. The idea is that an accident leaves a character in a state of hyper-speed all the time - basically rendering him desolid full time. Through the use of technology (gauntlets, belt, suit - whatever) he is able to control his speed and interact with the world around him normally. The idea being if his tech was ever stripped away or broken, he would be desolid and basically rendered useless for any fight. How do you suggest I go about that? Thanks, wlg

    x3

Re: x3 So you don't think 40+ years of comics could give them any other ideas? They're done after 3 films? Wow.

    x3

Re: x3 I'm with you - a strong finish. Each of the movies have had changes that I wasn't thrilled with, but they worked within the context of the films. I made Friday X-Men Day and watched all three. The mood and visual style was very consistent. I was pleasantly surprised, but I will probably go see it again. Hawkfu

    x3

Hey, did you see x3? I saw it last night. I expected something really bad because I don't like the director all that much, but it was a lot better than I would have thought. I really liked it. Did you? hawkfu
  9. Re: The Riddler - adventure ideas Thanks for the great suggestions everybody! Hawkfu
  10. Hello, I have this idea for a Riddler type villain - a puzzle guy who leaves clues - but I'm having trouble with the clues and riddles part. Anybody run an adventure with this type of bad guy? Any suggestions on resources I could check out? Any guidance is appreciated. Hawkfu
  11. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing Girls Gone Hero. Hawkfu
  12. Re: Dr. Destroyer monologue Thanks so much everyone! It's a great monologue, just perfect for what I need. Thanks for all the responses and sending it along! Hawkfu
  13. Re: Dr. Destroyer monologue Yes! That was the book. I used to have that, like, 100 years ago. Anyone still have that book willing to send me (or post) that monologue? (assuming it's not too long) Hawkfu
  14. Hello, I seem to remember a monologue by Dr. Destroyer broadcast in the beginning of one of the early adventures where he spoke to the world before unleashing some kind of global threat. I remember it being a great monologue, but I can't remember what supplement it was in. I thought it was Island of Destroyer, but I dug that out and it wasn't. I'm introducing Destroyer into my campaign and really want a great introduction monologue to kick it off. Super intelligent megalomaniacs are smarter than me and I'm not sure what he should say. Anyone remember the monologue I'm referring to? Thanks, Hawkfu
  15. Re: Your greatest Chmapions moment This is kind of bad, but I joined a group when I was 13 - they were all 16 and had been playing for a while (all of their characters had between 60-100 XP). My new guy was based on Wolverine (at 13 he was the coolest character you could want to play). Anyway, he ended up getting in to a fight with all of the other player characters at one point or another (mind controlled once - disagreement about his violent methods - just being annoying, and so on). The crazy part was that he beat each and every one of them every time he fought. They were wildly more experienced but for whatever reason I rolled like I was touched by a greater power - if I needed a 6 to hit I rolled a 5 - I rolled a 6 multiplier for my killing attack 8 times out of 10. It was crazy! And the other players were pissed! Young upstart that I was I was feeling pretty cocky about my character. To bring me down a peg or two in an adventure I knocked on the door of a potential bad guy, he kicked down the door - right on top of my character - where I stayed trapped for the entire combat. 16. Hey, as a GM of a Champs game right now, I'm curious what has made a good GM for you guys. What's your best experience as a player and what made the GM so good? Thanks, Hawkfu
  17. This has maybe been covered already, but if anyone has an answer or direction on where I might find an answer, much appreciated. How do you treat Captain America's shield where he can throw it, hit targets, and it comes back to him. I get the throw it part (EB) and the hit multiple targets (Area Effect), but how do you do the 'it comes back to him' part? Hawkfu
  18. Re: Personality quiz for characters Wow, these are great! Thanks a lot! Hawkfu
  19. Hi, An old GM of mine used to have a write up of questions for every player to answer in character to flesh out their personality, motives and methods, so on. I wanted to to have something similiar for a new campaign I am starting and I thought I would ask the community first if anyone has something like this already written up? Thanks, Hawkfu
  20. Hello, Question: I wanted to buy Damage Reduction and add the modifier Costs Endurance. The question is then, does it cost End whenever it's used 9like whenever he gets hit?) or is like a force field where I turn it on and pay end everyphase it's active? Thanks, Hawkfu

    Batman Begins

Re: Batman Begins Huh, I don't agree. I think Batman Begins was fantastic. Gotham looked like a real city, unlike Burton's version. The character was explored really well for me. They really dug in to his psychological roots, which again was really lacking in Burton's version. I also think that Bale was superior Bruce Wayne than Keaton. I liked Keaton, but he just didn't have the right edge to him. With the exception of the Animated Adventures Batman, Batman Begins is the best Batman I have seen. Hawkfu

    Batman Begins

Re: Batman Begins He was 52 when he did Batman. I know this is going against the popular opinion here, but I liked him as Joker but was not in love with him as Joker. I felt he was too old and out of shape to really be taken as a serious rival to Batman. (ducking for cover) Hawkfu
  23. Re: Dear G-D, NOOOOOOOOO!!! I hate Hollywood! I don't think Ratner adding a character like StaceyX, who is from the comics by the way, counts as 'daring to do something that reflects his vision rather than duplicating that of some other artist with no innovation at all". You know, since StaceyX was created by someone else. So he would be duplicating. Just saying. Hawkfu

Re: Batman Begins er...maybe 20 or 30 years ago. He would have been great. Hawkfu

    Batman Begins

Re: Batman Begins Just read through the thread - few comments: 1) Loved the film - saw it 3 times now...I may see it again. 2) someone was talking about a Scarecrow reboot. I loved the new Scarecrow in the animated Batman series, when it came back as Gotham Knights. Anyone see that? Scarecrow had a different, very sinister look, with the hangman's noose around his neck. Loved that. Also his episode was the one where he changed his fear toxin to take away peoples fears. Now Gotham had people running around doing whatever they wanted without fear of repercussion. Excellent. 3) I liked the 2 Keaton Batman movies but I didn't like the changes made to them. Mainly, Joker killing his parents. Totally unnecessary. This film bringing it back to Joe Chill is great. 4) I read that Nolan says there will be no Robin as long as he is involved. He feels that Robin should be a ways off for Batman. Batman is still young. He figures Robin wouldn't really show up until something like film 4 or 5. I like Robin but agree. Lets keep building on Batman before we throw Robin in to the mix. 5) I have heard a lot of great names thrown around for Joker. Names like: Paul Bettany, Crispin Glover, and even Sean Penn. Who knows who will actually play him. I like Johnny Depp for the part. er...I guess that's it! Hawkfu
