  1. Re: WWYCS: "Why Shouldn't I Kill Him?" Ashley: "Because I just got this costume dry-cleaned. Use a rope; it's quieter and less messy."
  2. Re: ONE power: what do you do with it? has anyone mentioned Telekinesis? the broad applications are.... broad. Flight, force field, magic tricks (and thus fame), not to mention ranged strength If you want to get creative (on how far down the TK can affect) you could even start affecting molecular structures. XD
  3. Recently I had an interesting idea for a campaign in the Marvel universe that would have an interesting twist. The game takes place 1000 years from now, in a post-apocalyptic world. The heroes we know are gone, but their legends remain. What is up for discussion is how would you do this? Which hero items would be left as a inspiration/base of power for those who survived? Would Captain America's shield be a Flag or a coaster? What would have to happen to reduce the world like this? Which heroes and villains would survive? Here's some of my ideas: An military organization rebuild and live within the SHIELD airborne base, now in ruins Thor's Hammer, Cap's Shield, and Wolverine's Skeleton are some artifacts left behind Dr. Doom survived and struggles to maintain his health and country (one of the last places civilized on Earth, but run by tyranny) Somehow the moon landed on Earth, and is spread across Asia One of Tony Starks bunkers survived (he did not) and have used his technology to create a utopia within the vast bunker. contact with outsiders is forbidden or rare mutants are regarded as mystics, kings or gods Comments/questions/accusations?
  4. Re: matchmaker for masks? Kitty Pryde 66.4% Match Tough, smart, and caring, Kitty is loyal through and through. She will let her hair down and show you how to party. Just don't do her wrong or she'll use her ninja-moves on you. Other Close Matches: Moira MacTaggert (62.8%) Aurora (59.2%) She is technically legal now right?
  5. Re: List of Forum Members - Super Teams & Members Octagon Phiddippus (highly agile master of all trades) (Leader) Event (Gravity based brick, with density control) Horizon (Zero point energy blaster) Ashley (Villain-turned-hero, high damage but low defense 'martial artist') Canadian Crusher (Group bank roll and brick) I'm sure spidey77 will correct me further
  6. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Our one brick (Canadian Crusher) decided he needed a ranged attack for a fight that was coming up. He decided to buy over a dozen bowling balls, and proceeded to color them with a red maple leaf on live tv (a lot of press was anticipating the fight). We imaged how the villan would respond: Villain: "They're not taking me seriously! That one is painting his balls!"
  7. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... lol new quotes tonight: "You're like a 13 year old child stuck in the body of an adult ***hole." "Hey, can you surf the web with one of these things?" "That's a voltmeter."
  8. Re: Running jokes in your campaign no Champions running jokes in our campaign yet, but I do have a few old d20 moments: in star wars, one NPC named Bob would die all the time and come back immediately (we were young, and didn't take it seriously). We went so far as to say he had negative stats, and a tissue paper could kill him (and did). One jedi turned to the dark side after a single game sesion of taking out his frustrations on him. He was used for some distrubing things, like a force adept earning a record number of dark side points, to have his bodies create a hill to get access to the roof of a building, and for various comedic demonstrations of how a lightsabre works on flesh. In a Dnd campaign, one player had her horse die every session it showed up (she ened up with Jade #14 last time we played).
  9. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... I regularily save quotes from Dnd, so here's a few favourites: Rogue - "Congrats, he's literate! unlike someone..." Barbarian (cannot read) - "Hey, i can beat you til you're stupid" Rogue - "Stupid like you? That'll take a while" Warlock (NE) - "No need for thanks, your eternal servitude is enough" Rogue to Druid (keeps rolling low to hit for the wolf):"Did you get your wolf from the SPCA?" Barbarian - "Monkey, prepared to be spanked" To the Warlock who became Confused (as the spell, was speaking incorherently) - "You are still having a philosophical discussion with the horse" Warlock - "We need to keep our kobolt on a leash" Rogue (kolbolt) - "That demeans us both" Rogue - "are are we going to get invitations?" Warlock pulls out a wand of charm person "Leave that to me" Elf swashbuckler - "Naked? No, I still have my scabard." Spy Game - Captured an enemy agent. They removed a tooth laced with poison for suicide from him. "Should we remove all of his teeth?"
  10. Re: Signs your Champions GM is now (fill in the blank) Signs your GM is Akira toriyama (creator of Dragonball z) - a single battle lasts 3 game sessions. Each round takes a half hour - in that battle, the planet is returned to the stone age - planets are considered expendable - Major villains have Multiform power, for a MUCH stronger form - he awards character points mid game, and allows you to spend them immediately - the strongest PCs have Distinct Feature: Monkey Tail - PCs that have multiform must take the limitation Takes Extra Time, yet no villain would take advantage of this - anyone within an area code of a transforming character would take notice - pushing rules are extended from 10 pts. to 100 pts. - if the PCs have no chance to beat the villain, the GM hands out character points like its candy
