  1. Here's the secret to a post scarcity society. You can't get one by providing unlimited resources to everyone. No society has unlimited resources, not even the Culture and especially not the Federation. The Federation wouldn't be looking for new energy sources if it had unlimited resources. No, the secret to a post-scarcity society is to successfully indoctrinate your population so they'll never want more than society can (or should) provide them. They can have all that they want, if you manage what it is that they want. Realistically there's no reason why anyone wouldn't want to have their own personal FTL vessel...if only to escape when their planet is about to be destroyed, an eventuality that I must point is totally routine on Star Trek. But they have managed people's expectations so they don't ask for more than they can get. The people who want to do the kinds of things you imagine are simply identified and treated for their mental illness until they have more reasonable and socially responsible desires. Tada! Post-scarcity achieved!

  3. Cyberian is a time traveller from a rather dystopian possible future where cyborg androids are created with animal features to distinguish them from humans. After the war he was made to fight in, he went into business as a bounty hunter and it was in that role that he ended up pursuing his prey into modern times, where he still works as a mercenary/bounty hunter. He's inhumanly strong, quick and has enhanced senses and still has his bike, weapons and armour from the future.

  6. Ah. No. The colour was named after the fruit. Same thing with aubergine.
  7. While specifics may vary from workplace to workplace and company to company, a typical practice at a black company is to hire a large number of young employees and then force them to work large amounts of overtime without overtime pay. Conditions are poor, and workers are subjected to verbal abuse and "power harassment" (bullying) by their superiors.[1] In order to make the employees stay, superiors of black companies would often threaten young employees with disrepute if they chose to quit. Noteworthy cases[edit] Mina Mori, a 26-year-old employee of the restaurant chain Watami, committed suicide[2] two months after joining the company in 2008. Her family lodged a complaint with the Yokosuka Labor Standards Office to seek recognition of the suicide as work-related. When their claim was denied, they appealed it to the Kanagawa Prefectural Labor Bureau, which recognized work-related stress as the cause of the decline of her mental health.[3][4] In December 2015, Watami reached an out-of-court settlement of 130 million yen with the family, and Watami founder Miki Watanabe apologized.[5]
  8. It was, incidentally...a terrible game. Total curb stomp.
