Re: "Neat" Pictures
Take a closer look at the picture. It shows 2 fences with a zoo keeper between manning the rope between 2 separate openings.Yes, I can see that. Even with an employee there to tell people not to grab the rope between the knot and the metal porthole, I still doubt US zoos would go for it.

Re: "Neat" Pictures
Where is this place?! I must know!I don't know, but probably not in the U.S. Too big a chance a visitor could pinch a hand between the knot on the rope and the little porthole the rope runs through. No zoo around here would accept that sort of liability...

Re: Creepy Pics.
From The Daily Mail
This is the terrifying moment that a wildlife photographer was bitten by one of this subjects - and didn't even realize he had suffered a potentially fatal snake bite until the image was developed.Mark Laita was taking pictures of snakes for his latest photography project called Serpentine.
The only reason he survived the attack by the black mamba was because it was a dry bite with no venom injected. A poisoned bite from a black mamba is 100 per cent fatal.
I don't know, though...how does one not feel that? And how did he just happen to snap a pic? (Some really cool snake pics in the article, though.)

Re: Outside the Box powers
I had a postmodern mystic hero who had a keychain that had a bunch of teleport powers tied to doors. So he could do increased mass teleports over long distances' date=' or XDM, or whatever. Just so long as there was a door at both ends of the teleport.[/quote']That reminds me of a character that I never got to play. He had performed a ritual as a stupid teenager, and came out with a "blessing" of Hecate in her form of the Goddess of the Crossroads. At any given intersection, he could travel to another intersection of streets by the same names anywhere in the world. IE, if he was standing at 9th street and 5th avenue in Clackamas, Oregon, he could take a step and be at 9th street & 5th avenue in New York. If he was in a vehicle, the vehicle and anyone in it would come along for the ride. On the other hand, he had a few Watched's, by Hecate and some other powerful gods/goddesses after he got their attention with the ritual. If I could have played him, I would have pushed toward a more general "magic" pool and such.

Re: "Neat" Pictures
He passed away at 80, not 70, but otherwise it seems correct.
EDIT: Oh, and it seems to neglect to mention his commanding officer Bruce Crandall, who flew with him and is apparently still alive. Oh, and who, in another battle, picked up some more pinned down soldiers
On January 31, 1966, during the first combined American and South Vietnamese Army operation, "Operation Masher", Crandall had just finished a full day supporting the 1/12th Infantry Battalion. As he returned to refuel and shut down for the night, he learned that "X' Company of the 1/7th was in heavy enemy contact and had 12 wounded soldiers that needed evacuation. The soldiers were pinned down in a tight perimeter. The unit was led by his friend and fellow veteran of the Battle of la Drang, Infantry Commander Captain Tony Nadal. Crandall refueled and flew to the area. He learned the pick up zone was surrounded by trees on three sides. He also was told that even during daylight, Med Evac had refused to land there. To minimize the chances of hitting the trees, he decided to descend vertically. The night was pitch dark with an overcast sky, making flying extremely difficult.[5]Crandall also wanted to avoid giving the enemy an illuminated target and risk backlighting the soldiers defending the landing zone and wounded soldiers. Instead of using search or landing lights, he instructed Nadal to point a flashlight up in the center of the touchdown area. Crandall landed twice under intense enemy fire and successfully evacuated all 12 wounded soldiers.[5]
So: he landed, twice, at night in a spot with trees so think MedEvac wouldn't land during the day, without search or landing lights, guided in by a flashlight.

Re: Outside the Box powers
I've been mulling over some "outside the box" uses for force field. Using "create a force field" as the special effect, I've thought of suppressing other forcefields ("emitting a force field with a counter-frequency"), telekinesis (creating a field around/under the object and moving the field), suppress fire (create a field around the fire and starve it of oxygen), NND attack (create a field around the enemy and starve it of oxygen), and EB vs Physical (small, fast moving spherical force field).
