    I have to ask about a classic bit of American cuisine: Who is eating the Filet-o-Fish?

     

    I think it sounds, and looks, absolutely repugnant, yet it's one of the most popular sandwiches at McDonald's. I recall that whenever I was in a group of four or more going to McD's, at least one person chose it. Now they have the Fish Bites, and I'm just boggled. Am I missing something?

     

     

    I asked my wife the same thing, except I don't ever recall anyone actually ordering it. Then she told me that on the rare occasion her mother goes to McD's, she always orders the filet o fish...

    I had to translate once between a guy from Molokai and an Iranian Persian from L.A. It was hilarious.

     

    I once had to translate between someone from Quebec and a Parisian in Inverness, Scotland. No, they didn't understand each other's French (or English), so they got to understand my English...

    We knew the world would not be the same. Few people laughed, few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says, "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.

    Well, there's been an amazing development in the story of this picture. This pic is so inspiring, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is making it into a movie!

     

    That's really cool. I must admit, I don't hold out hope for a great movie, but it should at least be a cute flick and I hope the artist is getting compensated well (and some good publicity)
