Re: New Character: Lady Liberty
Is this character from the Golden Age comics, or is she one of your own creation.

Re: Wonder Woman
So my 1000 pt Wonder Woman was not your cuppa?Actually, getting iconic characters close to the 350 point range does make them both more useable in play, and good examples of character creation for people new to the game (but familiar with the genre).
Admittedly, your 1,000 point build is closer to her demonstrated abilities in the comics. But I have never been a fan having NPCs grossly outclass the player characters. (Which exceptions being made for villians intended to face the whole team!)
-
Re: Wonder Woman
I am shocked that you could fit Wonder Woman into a 350pt Build!
Awesome!

Re: Weight Question
That was all over with years ago, and I've never eaten that much dried fruit at once ever again.I still haven't learned my lesson with sauerkraut yet, however.
I can imagine that it was a crappy situation to pass through!
(, Pun me before I pun again!)

Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous)
I submit that Childbirth HERO has already been done; look specifically for Proditor's Post. This was just the afterbirth of that posting.

Re: Weight Question
No kidding...I ate a half pound of dried apricots once' date=' and it felt like I was passing sandpaper later. And again later. And still later.[/quote']Has the problem passed yet?

Re: THE ATLANTEAN AGE: What Do *You* Want To See?
Okay.
I am going to go the other direction and ask for some ideas on using "The Atlantian Age" beyond the scope of the suppliment
(Oh, and smoking hot chicks - but I always ask for that. )

Re: Odd Costume Designs
The awsomeness of MMORPGs is always tempered by the ness of the playersSad, but too often true.
(And it is really only a small percentage of the players - but enough to ruin such ideas for everyone. )
-
Re: "Does everyone have silver bullets?"
Yes, but definitely buy the frequency as "Common," since seeing it show up between 25% to 50% would not be unreasonable.
Especially when that unluck roll comes up.

Re: Shadows Angelus artwork
Here is some recent work I did for Shadows Angelus II: Ten Years After (http://surbrook.devermore.net/worldbooks/shadows_2/shadowsindex2.html)First up is my PC, Chrysine, the 6'3" Fox-class combat Clade built for the Lace & Steel arena.
Too much costume.
-
Re: Odd Costume Designes
I'd think such a thing would be virtually compulsory! (And' date=' probably, not too difficult to get a JPG file uploaded....)[/quote']I think that could be a bad idea. I have far too many images of what some jerks might try to upload as their Icons.

Re: Information for HERO/Champions Fans About The Champions Online MMO
Now' date=' now, I have met people that actually liked Civil War. I'm not one of them, mind you.[/quote']Contact Mythbusters! The idea that some people actually like Marvel's Civil War just stretches credibility too much.

Re: Information for HERO/Champions Fans About The Champions Online MMO
Cryptic has no interest in licensing an IP or answering to anyone else' date=' and I don't blame them one bit. They want to own whatever they're working on outright and in full to avoid all the hassles that come from not doing so. It's totally logical.[/quote']I suspect that their recent issues with the Marvel Comics Group left a bad taste in the collective mouths.

Re: Information for HERO/Champions Fans About The Champions Online MMO
Yup. That that they would have an "obscene" sum of money to launch it with. Were it to ever happen. Which seems unlikely. Successful MMOs frequently try to get a Pen and Paper RPG published based on their game. Cryptic already HAS that before their MMO even launches. One that quite a number of people at Cryptic are big fans of. What motivation could they have to pull the license from DoJ?The only ones I can think of are:
They'd rather have someone else publish a Champions RPG. Seems unlikely.
They'd rather not have a Champions RPG at all. Seems even less likely.
If anything the opposite seems likely, they would want to exploit the name recognition that Champions already has. This would be things like using art (concept or screenshot), MMO locations, etc. in the P&P vesion of Champions.
-
Re: Champions Online
And they turned down Enforcer the MMORPG.I thought everyone would love to play as me.
I thought that you would be the "low level" mob that people would get to kill over and over again!
-
Re: Champions Online
PlayNC has taken over CoH (PlayNC is part of NCSoft)' date=' and they've dropped their Marvel game (re-tooled would probably be a better word).[/quote']Meaning that Cryptic is in need of a new flagship product with strong name recognition!
-
Re: Champions Online
I just read in GAMEINFORMER magazine (p. 56) that there will be a Champions Online game in 2009. It will be cross-format ready for X-Box and PC. It will be a MMO game that is published and developed by Cryptic Studios. From what the magazine has written about the game it is going to be great.
Keep up the good work!
Cryptic?
What happened to their Marvel Online product? Or City Of Heroes?

Re: Building John Carter of Mars
They just haven't met Djon Kartyer of Jupiter yet. Everything is bigger on Jupiter' date=' you know. [/quote']Nah! Everything on Jupiter is just full of wind.
-
Re: Ground Tentacle Attack!
Tenticle? Freudian slip?I don't know. That might be reaching for it.
-
Re: Ground Tentacle Attack!
Does the tenticle attack have additional effects vs. Japanese School Girls?
-
Re: Building John Carter of Mars
Hmmm. I just had an idea for a Djon Kartyer of Jupiter. He travels via force of will/dreams/GM fiat to the low-gravity planet of Earth' date=' where his superior muscles and reflexes allow him to engage in swashbuckling adventures, do battle with exotic alien earthbeasts, and save swooning Earth damsels from certain destruction at the hands of villains.[/quote']Except today is not the 1930s. So I would not expect those "swooning Earth damsels" to behave quite the same as they did in the stories. (Nor to be quite as helpless/useless either.)
