  1. Meanwhile Game Changer Wrestling had their Clusterf*ck match early Sunday morning on a show that bears the name of the match.  Roughly four guys were eliminated from the match by leaving the building the show was held in.  Said much also featured the mascot Chitan and a man in an inflatable chicken outfit,  presumably also a mascot, wrestling as well as an inflatable doll.  The whole thing was won by Microman, a little person who's only about three feet tall.  The match also halted completely in the middle as a wrestler named "Spyder" Nate Webb entered as every wrestler in the match at that point was singing along to Webb's theme music.  The whole thing was balls out insanity distilled into a match and naturally, I loved every moment of it.  Ten out of ten will watch next year if they do it again.

WOW, given everything that happened in AEW and previously in WWE, I am shocked they brought him back. Wonder how long till he sabotages himself again.

On a side note, one of the things I mentioned that I liked about AEW before was that even their heel announcers (mainly Taz and Jericho) did real analysis and didn't come of as idiots. When someone cheated or was doing something stupid in their story-lines, they would agree but say sometimes that's what you have to do. They then hired Nigel Mcguiness to co host Saturday nights. He does the exact opposite. He is the classic "I didn't see anything the Heel did" analyst and in addition, when everyone else is pointing out the falseness of a story-line, in story, he argues for it (see the Christian Cage as a great Father, Jay White is the real champion after stealing the belt or Strong faking his neck injury). He bothers me so much that it takes me out of the show. As I said, I don't mind heels as analysts, but willful ignorance from an announcer like this seems dumb. I thought we had gotten past this type of announder.

I guess we'll see if Punk truly was solely to blame for everything that happened in AEW, as Tony Khan would have us believe.  Not sure I buy that myself.  Now mind you, I'm not saying his innocent of wrong doing but it does take more then one person to result in a brawl and it seems to me like those who were also involved in those altercations are getting way less grief then Punk is.  I mean I can't get over that the altercation with Jack Perry was so bad that it was a firing offence but ONLY for CM Punk even though, logically, Jack Perry was one of the people making it so bad.  If such an incident is a firing offence, it ought to be a firing offence for everybody involved.

  3. See what bothers me is that Israel and it's supporters have been swearing up and down that HAMAS has hidden tunnels to smuggle weapons and such into Gaza Strip, tunnels which Israel has yet to find.  So if HAMAS can smuggle weapons and other gear into Gaza without the Israelis noticing, wouldn't it stand to reason they could smuggle themselves out of Gaza Strip once their dirty deeds were done? I'm just saying, if the Israeli stories of smuggling tunnels are true and accurate the HAMAS agents would have little reason to actually stick around in Gaza would they? I mean it's a horrifying thought but maybe we have to address the possibility that the actual terrorists have already gotten away and the bombing is happening anyhow because the Israeli government just doesn't care?

At this point the question is whether the Netanyahu administration should be removed for incompetence or for deliberate incompetence.  It's that bad.

edit: Don't forget that the Egyptians warned Netanyahu personally that Hamas was up to something.

I'd imagine a few heads will be rolling at Israeli intelligence too, I'd imagine.  I don't know what Israeli internal security is called but logically their job is to keep watch on West Bank and Gaza Strip in order to prevent attacks like these.

They practiced for the attack....in plain sight of Israeli forces and the IDF still didn't see it coming? 😵 I'm not sure how that's even possible? Like the Israelis are always touted as one of the greatest military forces in the world, how are they not competent enough to prepare for an attack that was blatantly being planned before their very eyes?

The Elimination Chamber took place on Saturday 18th February.

Asuka won the Women's Elimination Chamber and will now have a Championship match against the RAW Women's Champion, Bianca Belair.

Austin Theory won the Men's Elimination Chamber and retained the US Championship belt.

Edge and Beth Phoenix defeated Judgement Day

    Bobby Lashley beat Brock Lesner

    Roman Reigns defeated Sami Zayn

Of course he did, because why wouldn't you job the most over guy in your company at the moment to the Rock's relations? 🤬:bmk:

  7. Recently, as in a few moments before this post was made, I finished reading The Fort by Gordon Korman.  It's his 100th book and it's about a group of five young teenagers who find a hidden bunker while exploring after a hurricane.  The trap door was revealed when the storm blew away a bunch of top soil.  Anyway the boys claim the bunker as their own, it was made by some eccentric billionaire so it's well stocked and has a record player a TV and VCR with lots of records and movies, declaring it to be their fort and spend as much time there as possible.  For some of the boys this is to escape the realities of their lives, like the boy who's being abused by his stepfather.  Or the boy who's parents abandoned him and his brother, who is now being raised by his grandparents and who's brother is falling in with a bad crowd much as their parents had.

Anyway it's a really good book, like most of Korman's stuff.  I recommend it.

So, AEW continuing the selling old guys over young have now signed Jeff Jarrett to help brutalize Darby.

Yeah I desperately want to like AEW, but their booking makes it difficult.  The sheer amount of guys I like on the roster means I keep paying attention but MLW has a lot of guys I like too, without the things that annoy me for the most part so I think I might be focusing on them.

  9. So AEW was in Toronto today and I had considered getting tickets.  Hearing that Jericho went over yet again and Daniel Garcia was booked to return to the JAS fold, thus killing an interesting storyline, I'm glad I didn't.  Heck, Garcia being on the outs with the JAS was the only interesting thing about them and now they're back to being the black hole of dullness the light of entertainment can't escape from.

Problem is, they missed Kingston beating Jericho window, IMO. And honestly, Sammy had become so popular as a face and then a heel (when people apparently hated him for apparently marrying Tai Melo/Conti), that rejoining Jericho has only hurt him, to me. Looking forward to the Hangman/Moxley match. should be really good, but will be ruined, again in my opinion, because they will have MJF take the title from the winner right after, ala the old money in the bank thing from WWE.

I felt Sammy's face run was rather lackluster to be honest and his feud with Scorpio Sky had folks cheering Sky, rather then Sammy, if memory serves.  It was so bad he had to turn heel again and resume riding Jericho's coattails.  Given the backstage problems he's been part of as of late and well, I just don't think he's worth the push that Khan's giving him.  I agree though that rejoining Jericho has hurt him, that much was clear when he faced off with Daniel Garcia on Dynamite and it got no reaction.  Can't honestly say I'm upset about that though.

  11. Lately I've been collecting Masters of the Universe Origins figures.  I have 27 figures from the collection, I have a Tri-Klops to but he's actually from the original collection.  I picked him up at a Comic Con, cause I wasn't able to find the origins version of Tri-Klops anyplace.  He doesn't have any of his accessories but aside from that he's in pretty good shape.  The other figures are: He-Man, Battle Cat, Skeletor, Panthor, Sun-Man, Stridor, Lord Pig-Head, Sorceress, Ram Man, Buzz Off, Clamp Champ, Man At Arms, Stratos, Man E Faces, Fisto, Beast Man, Trap Jaw, Clawful, Faker, Anti Eternia He-man, Jitsu, Mer-Man, Stinkor, Evil-Lyn, Buzzsaw Hordak, Horde Trooper and Mantenna.

  12. And once again Jericho goes over somebody he ought to be putting over.  Once again the Jericho Appreciation Society comes out on top, bound and determined to destroy any interest I might have in AEW's product.  People whine about the Elite but it's not the Bucks and Omega who've been refusing to put anybody over.  They've got a great many interesting factions available in AEW, JAS IS NOT ONE OF THEM! Let somebody get a solid lasting win without Dusty finishes or BS like that, let Kingston take the ROH title off Jericho, let Andrade stretch Sammy till he cries, just please remove this black hole of suck from my TV screen.

I was more thinking Kingston interference causes Jericho to get a disqualification win, so Moxley loses but keeps title. I agree on CMPunk and Moxley. Saddest part, I really enjoy, most the time, Jericho in the booth with Taz and the gang. I like that AEW's Heel announcers (Taz, Jericho, they had Ricky Starks sitting in a while with them) announce like Heels, ie yes shortcuts are fine, but they also analyze like veteran wrestlers and give props when they are due. So different then the old "I didn't see anything" style of announcing.

By the Way, anyone know the status of Kenny Omega? I haven't even seen Adam Cole recently.

The Undisputed Elite are coming back next week apparently.  Should that be true then you'll see Adam Cole again.

Watching Dynamite, and now Jericho getting a title shot with Moxley. Hope they don't give him title, but I bet will cause rift with Moxley and Kingston somehow, like Jericho willl get win because of Kingston interference.

I don't think they will, if only because Mox vs CM Punk to reunify the titles is a big money match and AEW likely knows it.  What I'm hoping is that Kingston interference causes Jericho to lose, resulting in Kingston and Jericho facing off again with Kingston FINALLY getting his revenge on Jericho and the JAS disbanding.  Guys like Daniel Garcia don't really need Jericho after all, they can make it on their own.

  15. To add to my previous thoughts on the matter: Chris Jericho shouldn't be going over any young stars in 2022, he was great in his prime sure but now he ought to be building up new stars for the good of the promotion and wrestling in general.  Furthermore JAS ought to be disbanded on the grounds that the young stars aren't really getting much out of it aside from Sammy Guevara.  They're not getting much attention from being Jericho's goons, there's no rub for them by being part of the group and I feel they'd be much better off on their own.

I suspect it has more to do with the above stories then his age. Though maybe the Thank You is sincere, or perhaps a So Long, Suckers! in another way.

So, Fyter Fest, again have Kingston/Jericho (we all knew everyone was going to charge in at some point, so no worries there). The Anna Jay swerve was unexpected, but they haven't really known what to do with her for awhile and Dark Order needs to disband (half seem to have done so) or become what they started as, a group of 2nd level guys needing an A-list leader to bring them together.

Finally, again they missed a chance to resolve Kingston/Jericho, having everyone interfere, get taken out by Kingston's friends, him seeming to have Jericho locked down and beat and of course Sammy shows up to help steal the victory. This feud needs to end, and Eddie needs a decisive victory over Chris. Eddie is not a mainliner, Chris's slights about this aren't untrue, but this feud, with all that has gone on, needs a Kingston win over Jericho. AEW has plenty of top level and secondary guys. I like Kingston, but this is ridiculous, and as was mentioned above, Jericho can afford to lose to him, I don't think Kingston can survive, popularity wise, the way this is going.

Particularly ridiculous due to the fact that Kingston is one of the most popular guys AEW currently has, the fans adore him.  He ought to be getting pushed to the moon, not jobbed to the likes of Jericho.  My thoughts are not only does Kingston need a decisive victory over Jericho but the JAS needs to disband as well, as Jericho's really holding them back at this point.

Thanks to streaming it on Warner, I could split up watching “The Batman” over two nights. I thought it was decent, but some of the plot elements padding it’s time should have been removed. Catwoman was not really needed.

I’ve been noticing that Batman movies have been steadily ramping down the campiness of the character since Adam West played him. A lot lingered in the 80s movies and a bit still remained in Nolan’s films. There’s even less in the current offering. The current version of the Riddler is about where Nolan’s Joker was at.

Rather hope they stop dialing back the silliness of the character's myself.  I mean nobody's calling for a return to Adam West super camp, though I did love the Adam West Batman, but there's surely a happy medium between that and Frank Miller grim dark.  Some of those silly elements are things I want after all, like Penguins trick umbrellas.  I'm not even asking for the really silly ones just the gun disguised as an umbrella, or the umbrella that sprays knock out gas, stuff like that.

Finally saw The Batman. Agreed with the reviews above, was much better then expected. I am hoping that a future movie will explore him being Bruce Wayne and repairing the damage done to the Wayne reputation. I am hoping they will shift the Bruce character away from the mopey goth look he had, even in a suit when he went out to the funeral. I do think he did well as Batman. And I really enjoyed the opening stuff, with petty crooks looking up at the bat signal, then looking into the shadows and running. It tells you the director gets what Batman is supposed to be about.

Edit: wanted to add one other thing. I am so glad they showed him with the chest plate batarang late. the symbol on his chest bugged me the whole time since it looked like it had slots for things to hook into. seeing that the slots were what held it on the breastplate worked for me.

I personally would've preferred if Batman had deduced Riddler's plan and thwarted it but aside from that I enjoyed the movie way more then I thought I would.  The action sequences were top notch, all the actors did excellent work with their roles and I particularly enjoyed Colin Farrel as the Penguin.  It wasn't a perfect movie sure, it dragged by the end after all and Riddler barely resembled the character from the comics but none of that was a deal breaker.  I do wish they'd ease up on the dark and dreariness for the next movie though.

In June we get an AEW-NJPW supercard. Ths was announced on AEW Dynamite last night.

We will get the Elite and Bullet Club for definite but who else ?

I'm really hoping for Naito and Okada. And either of these vs Punk and Danielson would be good.

And let us not forget Lance Archer, Minoru Suzuki and Moxley all have ties to NJPW

He is in fact a member of Minoru Suzuki's Suzuki-gun stable, last time I checked.  Suzuki-gun vs Blackpool Combat Club would make me very happy.

Of the worst films actors have made list I have seen:-

    The Lone Ranger

Strip Tease (the book is brilliant)

    Batman and Robin

    Catwoman

Nine (didn't think it was hat bad and when you compare it to some of the ones on the worst comedy list, it's like perfect Shakespeare)

The League of ExtraOrdinary Gentlemen (I was a big fan of the comic, besides Sean Connery was in it, how bad could it be ?)

Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith (Christensen is too easy a target and there are much worse films out there)

Phantom Menace (Jake Lloyd is highlighted but not the guy playing Jar Jar ?)

Showgirls (has to be seen to be believed)

    Waterworld (I liked it.)

Iron Man (Terence Howard was not a detriment to the film. He lost the job whiich is why is is the worse for him)

Jaws the Revenge (one of two stinkers on the list, the other is Catwoman)

    Superman Returns

I have never seen Cutthroat Island all the way through.

I am grateful to Bazza, the comedy list has some pure garbage which leaves these films way behind.

The Lone Ranger was very uneven I'll grant you, but I wouldn't put it on any worst lists.  When they find the right tone the movie is good, but sadly they only manage to do that for the finale.
