Most of the ones I voted for got through.

I've noticed that you're not voting with dice this time.

I'm a little weirded out by that, I'm not gonna lie.

Garibaldi: "No boom."
Ivanova: "No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow."

It was the preliminary round. The dice will be back, oh yes.

Actually, I'm working on that.

All right, I have some ideas for venues for the remainder of the Under 21 Tournament.  Eight ideas, specifically.

Venues for the Under 21 Tournament of Heroes

I'd like to have at least two additional options, but I'm short on ideas at the moment.  Any suggestions?

And yes, some (but not all) of these venues will be carried over to the other Tournaments.

I was saving that for the Open Class.

Lake Woebegotten: nearby large lake, for sport boating and fishing. Fresh water, so safer than the salt water beach. A steepish bank on the west side serves as amphitheater seating for boat races. Campgrounds on the north side.

Dinkbar Airfield: small airfield with no commercial passenger service, just some parcel carriers and lots of private aviation. Occasional sailplane events operate from there.

East City Memorial Park: built on the site of an old battleground (Civil War, Revolutionary, Indian wars, whatever), a few square miles with old cannons, self-guided tour trails, and an indoor military museum. Annually they have a reenactment of the skirmish fought at the site, and several holidays a year they have parades, including fireworks on Independence Day.

Also ... look up Seattle's Gas Works Park for a somewhat odder municipal space.

A Space Station or a mine might be the thing

Both great suggestions for the Open Class!

With your kind permission, I'd like to use a modified version of this: Camp Woebegotten.

The Round of 16 has begun!

(And yes, before you ask, all venues were randomly selected.  )

Voting for this round lasts until Wednesday, February 8th at 5:00 p.m. EST.  With luck, I can have the Quarterfinals posted Thursday morning.

Now go and vote already.
