Gotham City's location in the Champions Universe

Where would Gotham City be in the Champions Universe?  My guess is near Toms River, New Jersey.

On the fictionally modified stretch of the New Jersey coast where Hudson City is now, since HC was designed as more or less the CU analog to Gotham.

It is not really clear where Gotham is in the DC universe, since Metropolis is supposed to be NYC, and Gotham is another name for NYC.

According to the Avengers/Justice League crossover series a couple of decades back, DC Earth is slightly larger than Marvel Earth, and so DC US has room for additional cities.

 

So Metropolis and Gotham City may exist in addition to New York.

That's official? If so, and if I'm correct in having heard that they're now defined as proximate to each other, then they must be separated by the Delaware River, or at least on opposite sides of Delaware Bay.

The 1966 TV series Batman showed Gotham City with a large harbor and in both Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures, Gotham City is on a bay and has a lighthouse.

 

From Wikipedia: Delaware Bay is the estuary outlet of the Delaware River on the northeast seaboard of the United States, lying between the states of Delaware and New Jersey.  It is approximately 782 square miles (2,030 km²) in area, the bay’s freshwater mixes for many miles with the saltwater of the Atlantic Ocean.

 

The shores of the bay are largely composed of salt marshes and mudflats, with only small communities inhabiting the shore of the lower bay.  Several of the rivers hold protected status for their salt marsh wetlands bordering the bay, which serves as a breeding ground for many aquatic species, including horseshoe crabs.  The bay is also a prime oystering ground.
