badger3k
http://www.Trebuchet.com/ Just for the siege engine fans out there.
badger3k
No replies? Maybe I should have said that this is a web site where you can buy your own seige engines. No joke. You too can launch large steel balls through the air towards your neighbor, the vile Duke of Dunder. At least some people have looked at the post. Hey, even if you don't reply, I hope some people were entertained or amused (or even intrigued).... Come to think of it, what can you say in reply? Not much reason to post. lemming
I'm surprised no one replied, but it was a previously posted link. Cool site.
Solomon
I am on good terms with my neighbors. There is some people I would like to lob a boulder at, but they live outside my area and out of effective trebuchet range. I need modern artillery. Fitz
My neighbours live too close for a trebuchet to be useful. I'd need something more like a ballista, and even then I'd have to mount it on the roof so it could shoot down over the fence. Actually, since I get on pretty well with all my neighbours (except the old lady down the back who doesn't approve of the way I don't garden, but she's old so she'll die soon, so what the heck) mounting a siege engine of any sort on my roof would be far too much trouble. Dr. Anomaly
When I first saw this thread, I thought "badger3k is offering us clones of the HERO Board's own Treb! COOL!" Really...that is the first thing that went through my head when I saw it...

Toadmaster
I already have one, Thanks anyway. I built one approx. 18" tall that lobs dog food. I can feed my dog from 30 feet away . There are actually several sites with free plans for siege engines including one you can build out of card stock (stick the card stock in the printer and you have the plans all ready to go). Unfortunately I lost the links sometime back.
Old Man
I fantasize about one day having a full-size trebuchet, so that I can spend lazy sunday afternoons flinging bowling balls and flaming cans of gasoline. But right now I have a full time job and I live in a one-bedroom apartment, so I'm somewhat limited in space and time.

gewing
If my wife and I get the land we are looking at, I might build a black powder mortar, sized for pop or soup cans. I don't want to play with bowling balls!

lemming
This reminds me, I need to dig out the design for the Lego Trebuchet.
