tutorial question. the session after the lecture to reinforce the lecture material. We have the lecture first and then a tutorial where we go over the material in a class setting. Usually it involves homework to complete. typically taken out of the questions at the end of the chapter in the textbook.

I'm used to teaching in environments where some segments of the student population consider it their duty to, ah, maintain records of professors' exams. So I change my exams every time. I've been giving my exams from 3 years back (when I first taught this course) as practice study aids this term.

 

This is also only the third time I've taught this class, so I'm still building up experience about what students find challenging and what they don't, as well as adjusting the overall level and length.

Yes on some things, no on others. I've given up on pop culture after about 1982. And that date is retreating further into the past faster than the advance of time (so in five years time I'll make the same statement with the date specified as about 1979).
