Help with a power...

Recommended Posts

I'm fairly new to the system and I'm trying to create a body control power. To be a little more specific, my character has to touch the person but then disappears and basically possesses them. I was thinking it would be something like mind control but that's not really giving me the effect i'm looking for. A little help please?

Re: Help with a power...

This has been discussed a few times. There are two ways to go: (maybe more)

This is a compound Power as it is very complex

1) Mind Control, Desolification, and Mind Link - However the person gets to fight the Mind Control every phase.

2) Major Transform, Desolidification, and Mind Link - However the person buys back his Body....then breaks the "hold"

You may want to create it as Continous attack, 0 END, All or Nothing.

Re: Help with a power...

Combine ExtraDimensional Movement usable as an attack (you shunt the other character off to a "limbo dimension" and a Multiform with lots of extra forms (only to become a character who has your mental abilities, and the physical abilities of the target shunted off).

Characters with more points than your Multiform can handle are immune to EDM. You'll need some other immunities as well, since a character who can just possess whoever he wants becomes a campaign wrecker pretty quick. "Oh, I'll just Possess Dr. Destrpyer. No sense ever leaving this body!"

Re: Help with a power...

Welcome to the HERO Boards! There is a great search feature Ben has built in. This power design gets asked every other month or so...search the boards for possesion and you should find several threads with helpful info.

Here are a few recent examples:

Hope that helps - and Welcome Aboard! :)
